Via Mondo Travel & Wellness Vacations are designed to magnify a travelers’ experience. Over the years, I have sailed on cruise ships, taken bus tours, active adventure outings, volunteer trips, and solo vacations. While every one of them was unique and different, I was looking for a deeper experience. Via Mondo sets out to deepen these experiences on each trip, cruise, or custom vacation. I discovered through research, studies, and my own travels, that vacationers were looking for personal, hands-on experience, flexibility, and guidance like myself. The words, “wander, peruse, return” are the essence of tailor-designed packages with Via Mondo partners. Via Mondo would like guests to have the chance to wander an area on their own, peruse sites and material with scheduled visits and activities, and return with fond memories and cherished friendships.
While thinking about the concept, I wanted to create a name to have a significant meaning, which encompasses the entire idea of world travel. It so happens that Mondo means ‘world’ and ‘via’ means path or avenue in Italian. With these two words together, the name was perfect. Via Mondo takes you around the world along the path of discovery.

The design of the turtle was a discussion I had over the phone with my brother, who had sketched the concept a few years back. I wanted to tie in the meaning of mondo with the meaning of turtle.

Great trip through Scotland and Ireland

Rosemary listened to my needs and wants. I have a disability and needed accommodations with elevators and handicapped bathrooms.Rosemary put together a great itinerary that took my son and through Glasgow and Edinburg Scotland and all over Ireland!
It was a wonderful trip and I plan on going to Rosemary for my new vacation. I highly recommend her.
Also, she was really great about getting back to me promptly. Communication can often be difficult, but it wasn't with Rosemary.

Rosemary did it all - found a great airfare to Florence, a fabulous B&B in the heart of downtown Florence within a stone's throw of the Duomo, and all the excursions we wanted, thoughtfully planned to make a great trip for our family. Amazing! She’s the real deal. I needed an agent to help me with a last minute trip during a pandemic and she exceeded my expectations. My mother in law had an accident right before our trip and couldn’t go—she was on the phone with American Airlines for a long time and managed to get my sister in law subbed in without forfeiting the ticket. She advised me on covid travel requirements, where I could get tested quickly and jumped through hoops to answer my random questions about requirements about wearing a mask on the beach, etc.
She confirmed all my reservations, book an incredible private charter for snorkeling, and made an excellent hotel recommendation, all within my budget.

I was skeptical at first to book a trip through an agent as it was my first time but as soon as I spoke to Rosemary on the phone for the initial consultation, I knew she was the real deal. I actually received Rosemary’s name from my cousin, whose family used her for their vacation a couple of years ago and she certainly didn’t disappoint! Family memories in Italy

Of all the travel agents we spoke to before we booked our two-week trip to Italy, Rosemary was the only one who asked us delving questions, took the time to allow us to explain exactly what we wanted, knew the destinations, intimately, enhanced our experience with helpful and well-informed suggestions, & truly listened to what we wanted.After a few slight itinerary tweaks, we had the major sites in Rome, Florence & Venice, along with two bucket list items – Capri/the Amalfi Coast and walking the unforgettable Cinque Terre, covered. Our 2022 finished with great adventures traveling, thanks to Rosemary at Via Mondo Travel! We even did the Christmas in Killarney charity dip in Muckross Lake for mental health/suicide awareness. The adventures Rosemary planned for us were exciting and everything ran smoothly, EVERYTHING, beyond our expectations! We had an unbelievable, once in a lifetime riverboat cruise on the Seine River, bus tour through Scotland and Ireland and extended stay in Ireland through Rosemary’s hard work. Having her available to support us whenever and wherever we were located gave us great peace of mind. Thank you, thank you, thank you Rosemary!We will definitely contact Via Mondo Travel for our next trip abroad and highly recommend Rosemary to others for her service and friendship during ‘adventure’ planning and travel.

Thanks to Rosemary we had an amazing Italian adventure! My husband and I usually plan our trips but with 8 adults and 2 children under two, we needed help.Rosemary was with us every step of the way from building an itinerary to logistics to getting us from one place to another and keeping everyone happy! The Via Mondo app kept everyone up to date on what was happening next and Rosemary was able to update things as needed.
We spent our time in Rome and Sicily touring the sights, the food, the wine, took a gelato and pizza making class and spent a day boating and dining on delicious local dishes.

All the moving parts, from transportation to the hotels, excursions etc, fell into place seamlessly. Our drivers were prompt, courteous and always concerned with our health and well-being. The hotels were modern and clean in beautiful settings with superb front-desk capability. The excursions were most enjoyable with seasoned and informative guides. Rosemary readily availed herself to us via email/text when needed. She was very responsive and made contact with her ‘team’ in CostaRica to address any issues/concerns in a timely manner. It was clear that Rosemary was invested in all elements of planning this trip, tailoring it to our interests and desires. I would highly recommend ViaMondo Travel.

Rosemary was extremely knowledgeable and very responsive and planned activities that fit our family interests. When our bags were lost when we landed in Italy, she rearranged activities and diligently contacted the airlines/airport to make sure that our bags were found and that we received them. She went above and beyond what I would ever have expected from a travel agent. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her!!

I was planning a trip to France and was too busy to do anything. I talked to Rosemary over the phone as we live in different states. On our initial conversation I explained what I wanted and didn't want. She asked great questions and went to work on the entire trip. We modified her plan very little. I can say that Rosemary nailed it for me!! From hotels to tours to the travel. I will use her on every trip from now on! Very professional and personable.

First Class Professional

You simply did an outstanding job tailoring our trip to our groups unique interests and needs. The hotels were all very clean, comfortable, friendly and accomodating. And equally as important, they were all in excellent locations- safe and within walking distance from so many main attractions. The transportation service we used- again outstanding. All the activities you helped us choose were educational, interesting and sooo much fun for the entire group (including seven 18-23 year olds). I can't say enough about them. We had 11 days worth of truly magical moments. You are a first class professional and we are so grateful for your guidance and help. This trip was reasonably priced and was far superior to the large group tour (Perillo) I went on years ago. It will truly be forever etched in all of our hearts. Mille grazia!
