I have been in the travel business for 12 years, but have been traveling the world for more than 25 years.  I've been fortunate to have visited more than 110 countries and all 7 continents, using every form of travel imaginable: ocean cruises, river cruises, escorted group tours, all-inclusive resorts, driving trips, etc.  I've done a lot of what I like to call "experiential" travel, like running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, enjoying Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, partying at Carnivale in Rio de Janeiro, experiencing Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and watching the ball drop at midnight on New Year's Eve in Times Square.

I've also been to some amazing off-the-beaten-path locales, too: Easter Island, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Cuba, Angkor Wat, even Chernobyl (yes, THAT Chernobyl).  Animals have played a large role in many of my travels.  I have seen the mountain gorillas of Rwanda, fed endangered orangutans in Sumatra, Indonesia, swam with sea lions in the Galapagos Islands, come face-to-face with penguins in the Falkland Islands, and seen all manner of beasts on multiple African safaris.

European travel is something of a specialty for me, having visited nearly every European country; many of them more than once: 5 times to Italy, four times to Greece, 3 times to Spain, France, & Turkey, and twice to England, Germany, & Hungary.  I have also cruised extensively in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Baltic Sea, Asia, Panama Canal, Nile River, and Danube River.
