From the moment I stepped onboard Regent’s Seven Seas Explorer, I knew that an amazing experience was about to begin! The beautiful décor of the ship took my breath away. The champagne greeting and escort to our Suite began our wonderful vacation.
As we walked into our Penthouse Suite, I was in awe….photos do not do them justice. The Suite was spacious with a living room and a bedroom separated by real doors- not a curtain. The king size bed was so comfortable- I don’t remember the last time I slept that well! And, the best part was our Butler, Mark. He provided wonderful service without being intrusive and quickly learned our habits and likes. For example, we are not late night people and would come back to the Suite after dinner to watch a movie. After the first night of seeing that, he would make sure that he delivered movie snacks when we returned to our Suite. Little touches like that make a big difference.
The food on board was the best I’ve had on any cruise line. All of the specialty dining venues were wonderful, but my favorite was Pacific Rim. Fresh and tasty sushi with a Asian fusion menu- delicious! We also did a wine pairing lunch on the last sea day which was a wonderful experience. It’s limited to a small group, so I’m glad we signed up early in the cruise. The chef creates the menu around the wines that the sommelier chooses for that voyage, so it’s always new and inventive. Highly recommend!
The ship never felt crowded, the service was top notch and when they say everything is included, it really is. We did a few tours and they were very well done and we had a great time. I think a fear of many people when they hear “shore excursions are included” is that they will be a bus ride around the town on a crowded motor coach. Definitely not the case with Regent. They have a broad selection of tours in each port with different interests in mind. We enjoyed a beach party in St. Maarten and swimming with the pigs in the Bahamas.
I can’t recommend Regent enough and I’m dreaming of my next cruise with them! I look forward to arranging a similar experience for you!

I highly recommend working with Bridgett. She responded quickly and patiently with the answers to all of my questions, even those which I asked twice because I hadn’t read all of her emails to me. We decided on a particular cruise just before we left the country. Since we were not available by phone, everything was arranged by email. This is the third cruise she has booked for us, and the first on this cruise line. We talked to other people who were on the cruise who used other travel agents or booked directly through the cruise and didn’t have the great experience we had in with Bridgett. She knows her stuff.
