I  recently returned from The Netherlands and Belgium and it was absolutely perfect European  trip! The minimal crowds and superb weather were just the cherry on top of a much anticipated vacation. My husband and I made Brussels our home base making to take a day trips (via train) to Antwerp, Ghent, and Bruges. While visiting, we explored the cities on foot and by renting bikes. One of our one-in-a-lifetime adventures was taking the train to the North Sea and exploring the Blankenberge World War I sites. And YES Belgium Waffles in Belgium just taste better!
