Growing up, I was actually terrified to travel. The idea of not knowing how to navigate a situation - like how to get through customs, or hail a taxi when I didn’t know the language - made me so anxious!
Instead of letting my anxiety hold me back, I turned it into a strength. I became really good at planning seamless itineraries that gave me and my travel companions confidence - even while we dove into new (and sometimes scary) experiences together.
Since then, I’ve swam with whale sharks in the Sea of Cortez, explored the colorful souks of Morocco, sand-boarded active volcanoes in Nicaragua, and so much more.

Forward Momentum Travel knocked it out of the park for our honeymoon! We gave Sandra our budget and "must-haves" and we were blown away with the trip she arranged for our honeymoon! Between booking and our travel dates, the resort changed ownership, which she navigated easily, leaving us with NO STRESS! She was knowledgeable about the different resorts, amenities, pros and cons. The trip we recently took to Sicily was just outstanding. Since two of our party had some concerns about mobility, we decided to use a travel agent versus a big tour group. We could not have been more pleased with the result. We put our faith in Sandra’s company and we were not disappointed. Sandra gave us lots of suggestions on what to see and where to stay. Two of our party wanted to trace down ancestors and she couldn’t have been more helpful. Both parties had excellent results on the hunt. And as far as accommodations—all excellent choices. Each hotel matched what we planned on doing in the area so it was super convenient. Sandra also hired all our guides and transportation vehicles. Again each guide we had did not disappoint. Fabulous Fabio, Lovely Sara, fun Annalisa Alessi, and Angelo and the aspiring actor in rome were all fun and informative.

A Wonderful Trip to the Nordic countries

Once again, Forward Momentum Travel put together a great trip for us, this time to the Nordic countries. They set us up with “Nordic Visitor” for an 11 day tour to Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. Once that was all set, we decided to add on a couple days of camping in a National Park near Helsinki, Finland. They found a young man who would pick us up at our hotel, provide all the food and camping equipment we would need, and take us camping. His company is called “Finish Friend,” and he was a true friend. The main tour, itself, covered lots of high points in the three Scandinavian countries with some free time built into the schedule. The guide for that part of the trip had to do some serious transportation re-scheduling because of washed out roads and unusable train tracks in some areas due to the very heavy rains Norway had suffered a few weeks before we got there. All in all, another fun trip designed for us by Forward Momentum Travel.

Sandra started the planning for our most recent winter trip by asking us questions about the kind of experience we were looking for. Her questions led us to give her the answers that she turned into a reality well beyond our imaginations. We loved the destination that she recommended to us and were so grateful for her pre-trip recommendations about trip insurance, and her availability, guidance, and action when I sustained an injury on the trip and needed to use that insurance. With her help we were able to access the care I needed including arrangements with the airline to provide wheelchair assistance on the return home. She enhanced my pre-existing confidence in her knowledge, commitment, and follow-through. I don't intend to travel outside the US without her involvement.

A stress free honeymoon

Forward Momentum Travel took care of all the logistics for our multi-city honeymoon, allowing us to sit back and relax. All of our accommodations were wonderful and the walking tour they booked for us was a highlight of the trip. With how uncertain travel has been it was great to have someone making adjustments for us when the airlines made changes to our flights. We had one hiccup while traveling, but Sandra advocated for us and got us a refund for the service not provided.

Have you ever wanted to go on a ridiculously amazing trip but have no clue where to even start? Sandra to the rescue! The extent of the work that my wife and I had to do was give some basic information on where we were looking to go and our budget and Sandra took ball and ran the rest of the way with it. The hardest part of the whole process was choosing which ONE of the amazing packages she put together we wanted most. Every detail was meticulously presented to us in the planning process and, most importantly, every detail was meticulously presented to us once we were on our way to our destination of Rhodes, Greece. Foreign travel can be a worrying endeavor but thanks to the immaculate planning of Sandra we were able to travel with ease. My wife and I will continue to use Sandra for any of our future travel needs!

Sandra is incredible! She is friendly and easy to work with, but she’s also experienced and knowledgeable and that makes a huge difference! Sandra was able to answer all of our questions. We received a printed itinerary in the mail as well as an electronic version. The organization and the thought that goes into her planning is impeccable. We were so thrilled with our trip!

Best Beaches Vacations

Wonderful trip!

Sandra was so easy to work with! We started by filling out a survey of the kinds of travel we enjoyed, destinations we might be interested in, types of accommodations we preferred, and how we wanted to get around. We then got specific about the trip that we were looking for, where we wanted to stay, what we wanted to see, and a price range. Sandra was in communication with us every step of the way. She set up a tentative itinerary, and together we tweaked it until it was just right. As we travelled, Sandra monitored our progress to the point that she knew when one of our flights was cancelled before we did. She was on top of the situation and had us rebooked within hours. We literally could not have done this trip without her, and we look forward to working with her again!

Morocco checked boxes I didn't know I had

Our 2-week trip to Morocco was completely planned and hosted by FMT Sandra navigated us through changing Covid-19 requirements, met us at the airport, and accompanied our small group throughout. FMT's past trips to Morocco have filled them with cultural knowledge that make them fit in like ex-pats. They made us feel comfortable to try to fully experience the culture with dress and language and interaction with locals. Highlights included a mix of ancient (donkey-carts) and modern (electronic menus) technology, a hike on a busy trail in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, exotic marketplaces, and Sahara Desert glamping , camel ride and visit with tent-dwelling Berbers. The trip included shopping for beautiful handcrafted goods (leather, textiles and ceramics) and fossils (totally unexpected). FMT was extremely responsive both before, during and after our trip.

A trip I will always remember

I had an absolutely amazing vacation thanks to Forward Momentum Travel. We spent just 2 weeks in Morocco visiting exotic places I had never imagined going to. From the bustling streets of Casablanca, to glamping in the Sahara desert, I had experiences I will remember for the rest of my life. We had beautiful modern accommodations at each city/village we visited. Some of the highlights were watching local potters turn and paint some of their wares; seeing how leather is treated and dyed using natural materials; and viewing the extreme and delicate care ceramicists used to cut and shape very small pieces for their intricate designs. We also visited mosques, tombs, the blue city of Chefchaouen, the bustling square in Marrakech in the evening. We also went to a small Berber village in a very remote area and were served tea by one of the women there. And, we spent 2 nights glamping in the Sahara desert and rode camels to the top of a dune to watch a sunset.

Great experience from beginning to end!

FMT was great to work with. This is the first time I used a travel agent and the experience was seamless and enjoyable. Sandra and Paul were always polite, responsive, accommodating, and knowledgeable during all steps of the planning and booking processes. Taking a vacation during covid and needing to abide by periodical changes to travel restrictions and requirements would have been more stressful if it had not been for FMT. Not to mention, we had to change our entire, original itinerary, was a lot of legwork FMT made easy. We would use FMT again for a future trip and I strongly recommend their services. A unique place to visit

We were recently in Iceland for about 10 days. In addition to making airline and hotel reservations, Forward Momentum Travel had arranged 3 different tours for us: an afternoon walking tour of some of the more historic parts of Reykjavik; a day long trip with a small group to hike up a steep trail to get a view of the volcano that had been erupting recently; and a 6 day trip with a CIE tour group that covered many interesting sites in Iceland, including two naturally heated lagoons where you could spend time in the water.I would highly recommend Forward Momentum Travel for planning a trip like this or anywhere else you might wish to travel. We had to make a few changes to our original travel plans because of COVID. Forward Momentum Travel easily accommodated our changes, having to cancel some plane and hotel reservations and make new ones for us. They also kept us informed of all we needed to do to comply with the COVID restrictions.

Made our dream trip to Iceland a reality

Sandra worked with us to make our dream trip to Iceland a reality in October of 2021. She queried us to learn exactly what we were looking for (including budget and time of year to visit when northern lights most likely), found tours that exactly matched our vision, and put together a perfect package-- all while keeping track of changing COVID-19 conditions and restrictions and making it clear what we should expect. She was extremely responsive both before and during the trip and provided information in writing and via an online app that we could access throughout our trip. Sandra is now our go-to travel agent.
