Hi, my name is Cindi, and I am the owner and manager of Awaken Travels.
I have a deep love and appreciation for travel but my heart belongs to Fiji. I try to travel there annually and enjoy sending my clients to my favorite destination in the world. I believe in continuing education within the hospitality industry and I attend educational conferences, expos, and educational training several times a year to keep me sharp and updated on the newest trends in travel.
I have been working in the travel field for over a decade and decided to launch my own company, Awaken Travels in 2015.
I live in Tennessee with my husband and best friend, Nate, my daughter Toria, and all our wonderful fur-babies and chickens.

Our 20th Anniversary Trip was MAGICAL!
Cindi did an AMAZING job at putting together our 20th Wedding Anniversary Trip! We so appreciated her taking over the planning for us. All we had to do was show up to each of the special meals and events that she scheduled for us. We had an absolutely Magical time and couldn't have done it without Cindi! We will use her every time!!!!

We wanted to go to an All Inclusive - Adult Only - Resort in Jamaica.
Way too many options for a non traveler like me to know what is good & real vs. a touristy rip off.
Not only did she show us the "Good Places"...
But she got EVERYTHING lined up.
She got us freebies, and discounts, and most importantly:
She monitored our travel. We were never "alone" during our transition into and then out of complete and total relaxation!

My Key to a Great Vacation

I am a do-it-yourselfer but that no longer applies to my vacation plans. After spending over a week trying to find a workable combination of airfare, hotel, car and Disney Land tickets I finally cried uncle and set out to find a travel agent.
I reached out to 10 agents and no one came near the responsiveness and understanding of exactly what I was looking for except for Cindi Sanden at Awaken Travels. Cindi gave me many opportunities and wound up saving me over $1,200 (in addition to a lot of headaches) for my trip. She is now my one and only travel agent. I will never try to do it on my own again with her in my corner!

Honeymoon to Jamaica

Cindi was very responsive and helpful. She helped us plan our honeymoon to Jamaica. The only down fall from the trip was not having seat assignments together on the flights.

She Nailed It!

Cindi was amazing at helping us plan our trip to Cabo. I provided her a list of what was most important to us, including, an all inclusive, incredible food, great beach walks, pampering, adults only, entertainment, and our list went on. She nailed it perfectly! Our trip was everything we asked for and more. She truly took our desires, upped them a notch and created what my husband is calling the best vacation he has had. We have had some pretty amazing vacations too! Cindi's communication was excellent, with both her and her staff. We received nice touches along the way, such a s a personalized passport holder and luggage tag for our trip. It took all the stress out of the planning part of the trip and that only increased the enjoyment of the vacation.

Cindi was fantastic to work with. She was very responsive any time we had a question, and very knowledgeable about the various areas we were considering and the resort chains themselves. She truly partnered with us and worked as an advocate for us to make our Jamaican honeymoon terrific. She was able to secure better pricing than anything we tried independently. It was so nice to turn it over to her and know we were getting the best results. We are actually planning another little trip with some friends and just contacted Cindi to work her magic for us again.

Cindi was absolutely wonderful! We could not have planned our vacation to Ireland, London and Paris without her! She was helpful, friendly and easily accessible during our travel. We had the pleasure of working with Cindi from Awaken Travels on our recent Bora Bora adventure. Cindi was incredible. From start to finish her dedication to her job is obvious. She was very helpful in the planning of our trip from the flights, transfers, to the exact bungalow we wanted to stay in. We really didn't have to worry about a thing knowing Cindi had taken care of everything for us. She is also incredibly prompt with her correspondence. No question went unanswered and being new to traveling out of the country myself no question was ever unimportant to her. Cindi was patient, kind, and very fun to work with. From start to finish she made it very clear she was only ever a phone call away. She really is like having a friend in the business. We highly recommend Awaken Travels for your next adventure. Awesome, romantic 10 Year

Cindi was great to work with. She planned our 10 year anniversary trip to St Lucia. We priced it out prior to contacting agents and not only did she beat our best price, she was very thorough and thoughtful. We stayed at Jade Mnt for a few nights and Cindi wrote a personal letter to the GM of the hotel explaining our trip and requesting them to "take care" of us. When we arrived we learned that we were upgraded to one of their expansive pool suites, basically a $1000 upgrade. Thank you Cindi for all the help, we will be in touch soon for our next trip. :) Gabe and Cindy

Cindi is the best. She looks for travel that fits your schedule. She found a flight that would get me home quicker for the same price. We want to take a river tour in Europe at some point, and she gave me wonderful information for my husband and I to read and look over. She knows this is a "dream trip" and still researches possibilities for us. I would highly recommend Cindi for ANY travel needs.

My fiance' and I planned a destination wedding/honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica with Cindi. We could not have planned a better location without her, her knowledge of the locations was invaluable. The Butler service was fantastic, the food and drinks were plentiful and amazing and the Customer Service was superb. Cindi was highly professional at all times and answered any questions quickly and promptly easing any of those pre-wedding jitters :-)

Cindi met with us at our earliest convenience and we discussed what we were looking for and she had just returned from a trip to resorts in Fiji. She worked with us to iron out all the details of our trip including flights, coach transfers, boat transfers, resorts stay, meal plans, and special occasions. It was our honeymoon and my 50th birthday in one trip so she took care of arranging special items like champagne a birthday cake and a message in our room. Very nice. She followed up afterwards. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. She provided a full itinerary before the trip and arranged for any changes to seats on the airlines. Thanks see much Cindi. Anniversary Trip to New York for Macy's Parade!

I wanted to take my wife on a bucket list trip for our 25th wedding anniversary. She has always wanted to go to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York. I researched travel agents and found Cindi at Awaken Travels. She was excellent in every way. We very much enjoyed our trip and had our expectations exceeded. Everything went as planned. Japan Honeymoon Extravaganza

Cindi did an amazing job getting us the best places for our honeymoon in Japan. She worked with us to find a great place in our price range with the perfect local. She called to verify our reservation with the hotel and got us a nice upgrade for our stay. We ended up on the special Artist floor at the Park Hotel Tokyo that had a view of the Tokyo tower and you could even see Fuji on a clear day. Cindi was a breeze to get a hold of and responded to our emails very quickly. She also found us sites with options to add on side trips or extra excursions. Definitely recommending her to friends and family I would recommend this agent to my family and friends
