I started planning travel for friends when I lived in Italy. I loved studying the train schedules and finding new places for my friends to explore. Fast forward a few years and I turned that innate passion into a career. I've been an IATAN registered travel advisor since 2002. I enjoy learning about new places and helping clients experience all this beautiful world has to offer.
I have traveled extensively throughout Western Europe, including living in Italy. I have also traveled to Antarctica; Australia; Beijing, China; Brazil; Bhutan; Britain; Cambodia; Canada; Cancun, Mexico; several Caribbean islands; Costa Rica, Cuba; Greenland; Iceland; Ireland; Israel; Japan; Kenya; New Zealand; Norway; Scotland; South Korea; Thailand; Uganda; all 50 States. One of my greatest achievements is reaching my goal of visiting all 7 continents before I turned 40!
I live in Edmond, Oklahoma and work on air reservations, bespoke experiences, cruise reservations, independent and guided tours, all inclusive resort vacations, group travel, and missionary travel requests.

Everything worked out exceptionally well

Katie was very helpful in organising the tickets and geting the neccesary documents signed. As I haven't flown for a while she made the whole experience work well. She kept me informed on changes to flights and worked diligently to ensure that everything was in order. I had to cut my trip short because of coronavirus concerns. We found out that Australia (my home) was stopping flights and I needed to get on one soon to leave the country. Katie changed my tickets for me and got me on a flight the next day, and I didn't have to do a thing. It all ran so smoothly. She was very professional.

A TRUE vacation - even with the kids

Katie was phenomenal to work with. She really went above and beyond. She was very responsive to my requests and when unexpected things happened during travel (which happens alot in 2022!). I would use her again a million times over.She was especially responsive to my children's needs, as a single mama with two neurodiverse kiddos, international travel can be a lot - it was probably the most stress-free vacation I have taken since college (including those without kids!) It was the perfect balance of flexibility, freedom, and planned events.

Bucket list trip!!

This was my first time using someone who planned an entire trip. Katie asked what our goals were for our trip and planned the perfect getaway. No issues at all. Loved how she booked our rooms an extra day for our early arrival and very late departure. Our Honey Moon

With planning a wedding and other crazy things going on in our life we knew we wanted to go through a travel planner. My brother-in-law recommended Katie to us and I am so happy we went with her. After talking with her and telling her our idea, which was adventure and a little luxury. She helped to combine these ideas and made this the most easy-going trip filled with all of the fun we wanted. Even with a few hiccups with storms cancelling our flights - she was there at 11pm to answer our panicked call to help find a solution. Once we got to Costa Rica our we had all our excursions planned and they were the perfect activity level for us. And when we wanted to relax we had the spa at our resort. We knew that if there were any issues Katie would take care of it and take care of us. She made this trip stress free and I can’t recommend her more.

A few weeks before our trip to the United Kingdom, I was worried about planning fun things for us. Someone suggested a travel agency but I it was taking to long to get responses. First Fly Fishing Trip

She was sure to let us know what would be important for us to pursue in regards to travel amenities and insurance on our trip, without being pushy to make us spend more money than we intended. She was absolutely ESSENTIAL when it came time for us to cut our trip short due to flights getting cancelled for COVID-19. She found us a way out of the country and back to the US that routed us around hot spots and got us back quickly and without too much hassle. I have never used a travel agent before and originally thought it was an 'excessive' purchase. After my experience on this trip, I would say it was 100% absolutely worth it, and I plan to use Katie again on subsequent trips!

Great family trip to Japan

Katie was friendly and professional as she made arrangements for our family trip to Japan. She responded promptly to my questions and requests. Katie has spent significant time in Japan and was able to assure me that the language barrier would not be much of a problem. She was right! Katie was able to provide us with everything I asked for, which included Japan Rail Passes, Disney Sea tickets, and Robot Restaurant reservations. Our family, with members from four different decades, had a great trip.
She worked with a Japanese agency to deliver some of our tickets in Japan. The agent from that company was also wonderfully helpful.
I normally make these arrangements on my own, but kept hitting roadblocks with this trip. I wish I had gone to Katie for everything from the very start!

I highly recommend Katie Hartman as a travel agent. Katie has helped us plan week long mission trips for 9 years. My original contact with her came as a result of a recommendation by a missionary. She has professionally, securely, and accommodatingly booked international flights to South America and Africa, as well as reserving domestic hotel accommodations. Each time, she has thoughtfully considered our expressed needs and recommendations. She has also informatively answered any questions we have had. We especially found Katie's services useful when one of our connecting flights was cancelled and she was able to have us booked on another one before we began our long flight home. We will be booking through Katie again soon, for both professional and personal travel.

Assistance During COVID
Thank you so much for all of your help in re-routing my trip so I could make it home. My return flight went very smoothly in spite of all of the virus concerns. I definitely will be recommending your company to anyone that I know is wanting to travel.
