My love of travel and planning trips led me to join the LBAC team in 2014. I love to plan vacations almost as much as I love taking them! I was born and raised in Rhinebeck, NY, but moved to Round Rock, TX in 1995. How does that saying go: "I wasn’t born in Texas….but I got here as soon as I could!"
I have traveled to many places in the states including many of our beautiful National Parks. I also have been to Costa Rica, Barbados, Hawaii, Mexico, Turks & Caicos, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands. I love to travel and have traveled with family, extended family, my sisters, couples trips, and girls’ trips.
My favorite vacations include skiing in Colorado, anywhere in Europe, the beaches of Mexico or Costa Rica and National Parks. I have had the privilege of booking trips for clients all over the world from Fit Trips to Ireland, France, London, Thailand, Hawaii … to Cruising in the Mediterranean, Alaska … to an All-inclusive in Costa Rica.

Our first big trip of many

Very easy to work with. Pays attention to small details down to the welcome letters at each hotel that included the nearby attractions we can visit on our own. It was a nice touch. She also helped us along the way with problems we encountered during the trip. She reminded us of all the procedures and documents too.The only disappointment about the trip is that we spent too much time on an island that had nothing of our interest. Granted, it was due to a cruise that was cancelled, but I would like to have shifted our itinerary a bit better, like spending more time in Rome (we only had 2.5 days and couldn't see everything) and spent 4 days in Mykonos with only 2 half-day tours. Some people might have enjoyed that, but my traveling companion and I are art and archeological enthusiasts, and there's nothing in Mykonos but beaches. I can only spend 10 minutes in beaches before I feel utterly bored. So we paid for our own extra excursions and visited the sames places 3 times.

Awesome trip!

Wendy worked so diligently to put our trip together and we had a few extras we wanted and changed our minds on some. Everything she recommended was great. We traveled with friends from another city and she made sure we were together in all assigned seating and venues. At every hotel there was a welcome letter from Wendy which let us know she could help if needed. She was so easy to work with and we will certainly want her to arrange our next trip. We did it all online as we are not in the same city. Our friends recommended her and with good reason.

This was so well organized and easy to follow. It was flawless and the destinations were stunning. The rooms were obviously upgraded due to the views. Every aspect of this trip went above and beyond our expectations. We didn't want to come home and we can't wait to find our next destination. Best Family Vacation Ever

Wendy and her team provided the perfect family vacation in Japan. We wanted to stay busy and see as much as we could. I was at a loss trying to plan a 12-day stay in Japan myself and she took all the worry out of the trip. She planned the whole vacation through email and was great at timely correspondence and answering all my questions. I got a detailed agenda of all the sightseeing trips after I told her some of the places that were must-sees. She worked closely with a travel group in Japan to make this all happen. We traveled to many cities throughout Japan and she took all the stress out of planning transportation and hotel rooms. Everything I needed was provided from tour vouchers to bullet train tickets, I didn't have to do a thing. If you are looking to book an overseas trip and want it to be as stress free as possible I recommend Wendy Thompson to help you out.

Amazing Cancun Vacation

First Trip to Europe

Wendy is the utmost professional. During this Covid crisis we had to reschedule MANY times and she was so understanding and diligent in getting us exactly what we needed. Viking cruise was a great experience but the free time in Paris that she planned for us had to be the highlight of the trip for us. We sort of gave her an idea of what we wanted and she booked us at terrific places and made the whole experience so memorable. We could not have done any of this without Wendy. The ease of the trip Wendy planned for our family and friends! Our trrip in July to the Dominican Republic was relaxing and filled with many fun things that do. Wendy arranged everything from our payment schedule, travel insurance, entry fee to the Island, our flights, the condo style rooms, suggesting having group dinners, to the person that was our personal greeter when we arrived at the resort! The weather and views of the Island were excellent and the resort personnel was very helpful and friendly. Wendy is an excellent travel agent and friend, who we will use for our future travels. We had kind of waited a little late and was trying to plan something quickly-- she was such a big help with suggestions and getting it all done for us!! It was so nice not to have to sit on the computer and phone to plan it-- she just did it and asked us what we wanted to do, etc...We had a wonderful experience and will for sure use her in our future vacation planning!

Anniversary Bliss in Costa Rica

Wendy planned our 25th Wedding Anniversary trip to Costa Rica. My husband and I went to Costa Rica for 4 nights just the 2 of us . Then 6 of our friends joined us at another resort for 5 more nights. Wendy organized everything for us and our group. Everything went smoothly from booking, transfers, excursions and stays. Wendy is super organized and stays in touch with you from beginning to end. The excursions she booked us on were the highlight of our trip. Wendy even sent us helpful tips about traveling to Costa Rica before the trip. I know a lot of folks book their own trips these days, but trust me when you are traveling in the US or outside the US, things happen, and its so nice to have someone you can trust and call for help. Wendy thought of every detail on our vacation and got us the better rates. We will definitely use her again to plan our next trip. Pura Vida!

Working with Wendy was a true pleasure; my husband and I had never used a travel agent before and, wow, what a difference it makes! Wendy gave us the confidence to travel in Europe knowing that transportation, excursions and must see sites were all taken care of. We had traveled to Europe the year prior and did not get any help with our planning; having Wendy to help us along the way ensured that we were doing exactly what we dreamed of doing on this next trip. She gave us amazing ideas from her past experiences, and incorporated them with our ideas. Being in a new country, where you don't know the language and have never been, can be really intimidating. Just knowing that Wendy had thought of literally everything, gave us so much peace of mind. Every last detail was taken care of; each taxi ride, contact info to every hotel, specific directions on where to be and when....done! She was always available even when we were overseas and made sure that our trip was going as planned. Ill never travel overseas again without consulting her first! My husband and I have such amazing memories from our two week Europe vacation; its been two months since we got back home and I'm still daydreaming about all the wonderful things we did!

From the moment our family decided to take a vacation, I knew Wendy would take care of us. She worked dilagently to propose ideas and meet our family's needs. When an unexpected college schedule change meant my son couldn't go and derailed our first plans, Wendy immediately shifted into birthday mode for my daughter's 21st. She found us a perfect cruise to Cozemel with a beautiful room and large balcony. The room was decorated for my daughter's birthday that showed Wendy's dedication to making sure our stay was perfect. We had a wonderful trip and can't wait to have Wendy book our next vacation where all our family can be there(May, 2017 hopefully!)
