I got into this business because I wanted to do it better.
Seven years ago, I had three unpleasant experiences with agents and I knew there had to be a better way. Today, we are a multi-million dollar travel company with four distinct brands.
I love the romance side – I've helped over 100 couples (and their combined 1000+ guests) plan spectacular destination weddings. Bringing a couple's dreams to life in an easy, effective, and totally memorable way is so rewarding.
For the 300+ honeymoons I have planned, the goal is simple: plan the perfect, hassle-free getaway to leave all the wedding stress behind and remember the point of the wedding: to begin their lives together.
Destination wedding planning has translated into a unique skill set for many of the various group trips I coordinate, whether it be school trips, incentive trips, retreats, meetings and conferences, family reunions, golf club trips, or something different.
I am highly organized, and my experience lends way to help my clients find their best destination to plan amazing events.
Of course, this all started with planning family vacations – and I still love it just as much as I did at the beginning. As someone who had never left the country as a kid and has now filled a passport, I am very much aware of the value that memorable family vacations hold. Travel is indisputably beneficial to everyone, for various reasons. Working with Sara at Vactionisms for our honeymoon was amazing! We were connected through David's Bridal who highly recommended her company. Sara went through ups and downs with us and was able to find the perfect honeymoon destination! Sara gave me insight and updates during the Zika virus outbreak because we were honeymooning in the Caribbean. I can't say enough about how great Sara was to work with. She helped us plan our dream honeymoon and she answered all the questions we had along the way. Furthermore, she continued to monitor our flight so when it was cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew, she was on the phone and got us booked with a different airline so we wouldn't miss out on our honeymoon. She even coordinated with our resort to switch our days a bit due to the hurricane as well. From start to end, Sara was there to help ensure we had the honeymoon of our dreams. I thought it would be a great idea to handle it myself – but I was so wrong. I called Vacationisms after having booked our wedding because it took less than a month for the whole thing to become absurdly complicated. Our travel agent was able to get the wedding transferred and take over all of the minutia for me. My guests love my agent and she made it so easy for all of us. Our wedding would not have been so streamlined if I had continued handling it myself. These guys are the real deal.

I learned the hard way that sometimes you just need an expert who knows the best resorts, has connections, and can make sure your wedding or event runs off without a hitch. Especially if you are doing it abroad. Sara is that person. She is beyond knowledgeable, available when you need her and even caught mistakes from the resort to save me a ton of money on my wedding. Weddings are important and when you need an expert in your corner, Sara should be that person.

We used Sara for our Honeymoon. What a great decision! My now husband and I had very limited travel experience, and we decided last minute that we would be able to take our honeymoon, which left us with little time to plan and research. We didn't even know where we wanted to go. I decided to try a travel agency. I called Vacationisms simply after reading reviews. NO REGRETS. Sara did EVERYTHING and sent us on a trip that was more than we expected; special, luxurious, affordable, adventurous, and beautiful. She eased our concerns and answered our many questions. She was readily available and on the ball. She even checked in with us to make sure we arrived and everything was as we expected. I highly recommend her. Thankful I found Vacationisms! I called a different travel agent first and really had a bad impression of how they worked. I worked with Sara, the owner, and she really made a difference. She asked me a ton of questions before making recommendations, then explained in detail why she made the recommendations that she did. Much better experience than the last.My advice: don't call just any agent. They are NOT the same!!!

Our family cruise was amazing. We were 12 people all together and Sara from Vacationisms made sure everyone was happy and all 100 plus questions were answered before we left. It didn't even matter how silly the questions were, or what time the questions were thrown at her - she was there.Sara personally delivered our luggage tags and pertinent information, and again went over any details (more questions). We had a slight delay returning from Orlando and when we called Sara, she was monitoring our flight, and already knew.
We all arrived home to different cities, smiling and happy...Sara called to make sure that we arrived home safety and to ask about our time. Where else can you get such amazing, personal service?

I'm so grateful for a great travel agent! When we arrived for our honeymoon, we were checked in to the wrong room – I sent a text to Sara, the owner of Vacationisms, and she was able to get us moved to the correct room in under an hour. It was amazing!! I've had issues traveling before when I booked it myself, and it never seems like online booking companies care once you've paid. It's a totally different experience when booking with Vacationisms.

OMG, Sara is AMAZING. She made planning our honeymoon so stress-free! She was super responsive, and suggested several locations that fit what we were looking for. She went over the pros and cons of each with us, and once we decided where to book, she took care of every detail. Upon our arrival at the resort, we had quite a few issues (gave us the wrong room, lost luggage on the resort.. a total nightmare, but this had nothing to do with Sara.). As soon as I told her what was going on, she jumped RIGHT into action. Though I wish our first day could have gone more smoothly, it was INCREDIBLE to have someone handle the issues for us. Sara urged us to grab a drink and relax, assured us that she would take care of everything.... and she did! It was great to have someone able to handle things.... Sara really goes above and beyond; I'm still in disbelief at how much she took care of for us, from another country no less! Using Sara was one of the best decisions we could have made..

There are not enough words to describe how incredible our experience with Sara was. Her level of professionalism, attention to detail, knowledge of resorts and locations was amazing.Sara helped us nail down the perfect place. She didn’t just make suggestions, but listened to what was important to us. Sara was there every step of the way - giving feedback because she had ACTUALLY been there, and she had personal connections to keep things moving smoothly.
My guests also raved about how comforting it was to have someone so knowledgeable making all of their arrangements.
Sara checked in on us every single step of the way - she was there for some flight issues, answered texts and calls HAPPILY and solved problems I had while on site at the resort immediately. Destination wedding rockstar!

Highly recommend using Sara for your destination wedding booking. Destination weddings are stressful enough as it is - being a travel agent on top of being the bride isn't worth it. She made us a wedding website that was gorgeous and guests were able to go straight there to book. Because Sara works a lot with the popular resorts (including our resort - Azul Sensatori), she helped me get a new wedding coordinator when my original one wasn't responding to my questions. Having a travel agent with a relationship with the resort is a wonderful way to make sure all your concerns are being met. Not only that, but we were able to get specific insight on the location which was very helpful when making important selections. She answered my guests questions promptly, which kept me from being a middle man as much as possible. When working with her you don't just get a travel agent, you get an extra level of support. Sara checked in while we were at the resort to make sure things were perfect, too!

Sara is your dream travel consultant! She has a go get it attitude mixed with a no BS mentality which I appreciate when booking travel. She gets you the upgrades and addresses any concerns with swift action. She is super knowledgeable about all the resorts and has great connections that make your experience a VIP one. In my opinion there is no other way to travel other then traveling with Sara and Vacationisms!

Sara is great! She knows what she is talking about. I tried booking a trip to cancun my self and failed miserably. She smoothed everything out and thought of everything when recommending the resort that would best fit my family. Highly recommended!

If you are looking for a travel agent, look no further. Sara is absolutely amazing. She had to win me over as a traveling rookie, but she has proven her value to me on multiple occasions. She is so friendly, ALWAYS available and ready at the drop of a hat to answer any travel questions you may have. She has completely taken the stress out of planning our vacations. She was a complete stranger when I found her online, but now she feels like my personal, family travel agent. She's the best!

In the past, I have hated traveling – I feel very out of control about the entire process, and the stay never calms me. It took just one trip for Sara to make me a client for life. I'm so grateful for a great travel agent! When we arrived for our honeymoon, we were checked in to the wrong room – I sent a text to Sara, the owner of Vacationisms, and she was able to get us moved to the correct room in under an hour. It was amazing!! I've had issues traveling before when I booked it myself, and it never seems like online booking companies care once you've paid. It's a totally different experience when booking with Vacationisms.

Honeymoon

We used Sara for our Honeymoon. What a great decision! My now husband and I had very limited travel experience, and we decided last minute that we would be able to take our honeymoon, which left us with little time to plan and research. We didn't even know where we wanted to go. I decided to try a travel agency.I called Vacationisms simply after reading reviews. NO REGRETS. Sara did EVERYTHING and sent us on a trip that was more than we expected; special, luxurious, affordable, adventurous, and beautiful. She eased our concerns and answered our many questions. She was readily available and on the ball. She even checked in with us to make sure we arrived and everything was as we expected. I highly recommend her. She is knowledgable, she listens to what you want and she will not let you down. We plan on traveling more now that we have had this experience and we will be booking through Vacationisms again for sure!

Honeymoon expert!

I came across Sara Locke's business card while sitting in the waiting area of a local day spa that I frequent. It turns out that we are both customers of the spa. I was just starting to plan my honeymoon and thought that I would reach out.
From the very beginning Sara was nothing but personable and professional. She helped me to lock down our honeymoon location after asking a couple of questions. She even helped us to book excursions for our trip.
During our travels we ran into a couple of hiccups with delays and such. Sara reached out to us (she had been monitoring our flight times from home!) to see if there was anything she could do to help us out. After missing our first day of our trip due to flight delays, at our request Sara booked us an extra night and changed our flights. She even gifted us some of her Hilton Honors points for the hotel!
When we returned home we found waiting for us a wedding gift that Sara had sent us (a personalized plaque with our last name).
Sara is more than just a travel agent. She took the time to really get to know us and stayed in touch every step of the way. The wedding gift and the gifting of her Hilton points was such a pleasant and generous surprise as well.
I highly recommend working with Sara on your honeymoon travel details.
