The Magic of Chefchaouen, Morocco's Blue Pearl
The mountains grow bigger, and details previously blurred on the horizon sharpen into rugged peaks that take large bites out of the visible sky.
You spot a village in the distance hidden in the trees. The GPS says you’re twenty-five minutes away.
Maybe that’s it? you say, pointing.
It is not.

Family trip to Marrakesh & Casablanca
We would like to thank Valerie for the great time we had while in Morocco. First off, a stop for juice from a local vendor. Watching him squeeze the juice from the pomegranate, and then drinking it right there on the street in Casablanca was a treat. A trip to a local outdoor market was one of the highlights to our trip. We met a group of young men we called the Spice Boys. They sold all type of fresh spices, olives, fruit, nuts. They are a delightful memory from our stay. After Casablanca we traveled to Marrakech. A historian guided us around the city. To hear about the Jewish settlements there in the early days was fascinating. I think the trip to the Atlas Mountains and Berber market was my favorite. Along the river in the mountains there is a restaurant. If you tell them you want a place by the creek, you get it. It was a wonderful trip. To write about just pieces of it leaves a lot out of the trip itself. There is so much that you have to experience it for yourself.
30th Wedding Anniversary in Morocco!
Unforgettable weekend in Marrakech! It was a last-minute request, but everything was perfect! (flights; driver; guide; hotel; restaurants; tours…) From the moment we arrived at the airport, we were warmly welcomed by the whole team. The hotel was in a great location, and the room was spacious and quiet with all the comforts we desired. The driver was very professional. He was at our disposal and punctual, with a spacious, clean car and water bottles available. The guide immersed us in the history of Marrakech. He was able to answer all our questions as we discovered the Jemaa el-Fna Square, the souks, the medina, the Bahia Palace, the Majorelle Garden and some unique places off the beaten path. We ask for a full itinerary with a bonus moment of relaxation (hammam and massage). We accomplished all this in a weekend! The choice of restaurants with entertainment and different meals delighted us! It was a total change of scenery. We felt like we had been away for 7 days!
