I have been in the travel business since 2004 and started in this business for a number of reasons:
1) I love to help other people
2) I love to travel
3) I wanted to raise money for charity
During my time in the industry I have:
- taken many cruises on a number of different lines in order to experience the differences
- visited a number of all-inclusive resorts in different countries to have a better appreciation of what each has to offer
- completed the training from numerous suppliers and earned a number of certifications demonstrating my knowledge of the product
All of this has helped me to achieve all three goals!!
In fact, I allow my clients to select which charity will receive the donation that results from their booking.
The two charities I support the most are Beagle Rescue of Southern Maryland, and Shih-Tzu and Furbaby Rescue, which are two dog rescue groups for which my wife and I provide foster care for. We have helped save well over 200 dogs during the last 15 years.

My buddies and I always wanted to to go Scotland. So, one evening I emailed Steve to book the trip for the from July 3rd - 10th, 2016. He asked what we wanted to do, where we wanted to stay. I told him I had no idea, and for him to take care of it. He did just that: he booked the 5-day Highland Tour with Rabbie's and our hotel accommodations, including our transfers. He had never booked a Scotland trip for anyone prior, and this was his first. He came back a couple days later with all the info, and I told him to go ahead and book. Well, here I am after and we had the best time ever! The 5-day Highland Tour was fun, the hotel stays were great, and we never had to worry about anything. I'm always going to use Steve for all my bookings.

I've known Steve Mencik for many years, both as a travel agent and from a professional working relationship with a Federal Government agency. He's always been a great person to coordinate our vacations with and he's been doing travel work with us for over 20 years. He's very thorough and not hesitant in working travel arrangements with a variety of travel resources. He has always researched every option available to get us the best accommodations, the best perks and the best discounts available for each and every trip. In 2017, we moved from Maryland to Maine, yet we continue to use his expertise in scheduling our major vacations. He's that good. Since we've started with Steve, we've cruised to Alaska three times, Hawaii, the British Isles, and Norway-Iceland. We're currently working with him on a 15-day Scotland-Ireland rail excursion for 2025. All have been successful.

He helped my family arrange for our first Disney vacation. He consulted with us over the phone and helped us feel more comfortable about the whole experience. He gave us several Disney tips that worked well for us. I will continue to use him for future cruises and other extended vacation trips. He is a great resource that helps you understand the trip, what things you can do during your stay and how to save some money.

I've known Steve Mencik for a few years, and last year used his services to book my first cruise on Carnival. He was very well versed on cruise ships, and recommended types of cabins, what to do on excursions, and answer any questions I had. I had the pleasure of going on the cruise with he and his wife, and both were great company. I enjoyed it so much, I booked my second cruise for this October on the cruise ship and through The Vacation Stop with Steve's help. I have already booked my 3rd cruise through The Vacation Stop for 2017!! I don't plan on going through anyone else when I need to book vacations. Oh, and the money you use to book your vacation goes to charity, a large large portion of it. Also, Steve keeps in mind when there are reduced rates, and he saved me a few hundred dollars on my last cruise. Don't go anywhere else to book your vacations if you are fortunate enough to use The Vacation Stop starting with your first time!!

Steve and I have know each other for years and were once co-workers in an organization. I have absolutely no problems on his service to us and his willingness and efforts to ensure that our vacation plans are accurately arranged. He takes the time, travels to our home, and thoroughly explains the details and issues that each vacation he plans brings. He is responsive, he takes the extra steps to ensure arrangements proceed in a timely and orderly fashion, and that our vacation needs are met - before, during and after the vacation.

Steve was top notcn. He planned our Alaska vacation with Princess. He had great suggestions and took the stress out of the entire process. Steve has proved to be a super Travel Agent. He has always managed to get us the best price for our vacation, and then gives 50% of his commissions to Charity. Glad he is part of my family. We live in FL and he lives in Maryland, but he is still able to communicate very well via phone or email. I do not want to be entered into the drawing for the iPad.
