Edinburgh Scotland, Our trip studying the Romans.
I am a homeschooling wife and mother of 5 children. Much of our life has been spent traveling and teaching our children by travel. For instance, we spent a month touring around Eastern Europe (Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic) studying the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. We visited the ruins of the dungeon Dracula spent 10 years imprisoned in Budapest, and followed ill fated Empress Sisi from Vienna to Budapest. We had a long layover on our way home in Bergen Norway, and found Sisi there too! When we visited New York, we studied the life of Teddy Roosevelt, and in Scotland we studied the Romans!
I love to learn with and travel with my family. I know you do too! I am so passionate about helping you to curate your first or next study trip! We can discuss periods in history that is interesting to you, or famous figures, events in history, or destinations that intrigue your curiosity. I don't only work with homeschool families, but all who are interested in living a life of curiosity and discovery.
What peaks your interest?
The Alaskan Gold Rush?
Ancient Samurai?
King Henry VIII?
Have you read The Count of Monte Cristo? You can visit the actual island Monte Cristo!!
We can incorporate cruises, tours, museums, ghosts tours, whatever peaks your curiosity! Why not visit the many Christmas Markets in Scandinavia?!
Learning of the world around us is so valuable at any age, developing character and wisdom, and knowledge can never be taken from us. Travel is a great way to teach our children and ourselves how to learn and create a spirit of discovery in all of us. Travel also bonds us to each other and nurtures memories.
Give me a call! Lets brainstorm your next memorable trip with your family!
