Hawaii is one of the most stunning and wondrous places on earth. But in order to really discover the true beauty of these gorgeous tropical islands, it helps to know a local -- someone like me!
I was born and raised in Hawaii, so the culture is within me. That means that I can provide you with more than just a booking. I can imbue your vacation itinerary with that special aloha and local insight that only a true local can add.
Plus my knowledge is not limited to one or two islands. Growing up, my dad and his brothers built and managed hotels throughout Hawaii, so we moved from island to island about once a year. All of this moving around has provided me with a deep wealth of information about my wondrous home, Hawaii.
To complement my personal lifetime experiences, I have also taken all of the Hawaii Visitor Bureau training and master specialist (on-island) classes and am the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) Hawaii chapter president. And I have not limited my training to just Hawaii. I have also completed educational courses and training for:
- Princess Cruises, Avalon River Cruises, Viking River Cruises
- Globus and Monograms Tours
- Disney and Universal Parks
- Marriott, Starwood, and Outrigger Hotels
I am also an experienced agent that has been in the travel business for 26 years. So I understand what it takes to design customized itineraries for my customers. I will always take the time to discover exactly what you are looking for out of your vacation.
For example, are you seeking a destination with a vibrant nightlife or would you prefer a quiet, peaceful vacation? Combined with the information you give me about your budget and the length of the trip you're seeking, I will then create two or three quotes and itineraries for you.
I also enjoy working with complex bookings, including ones where I may have to coordinate flights from multiple cities. Before becoming an agent, I worked as an engineer for a number of years, so I truly enjoy working on challenging itineraries that you, perhaps, might have trouble figuring out on your own.
And while I am a Hawaiian expert, I also book ocean and river cruises and travel to other destinations, including:

- Australia and New Zealand
- Asia, including Japan and China

The trip I booked was for my honeymoon in Hawaii Oahu Honolulu. My wife and i enjoyed the trip we had all the itinerary and plans of things to do on a daily everything was scheduled perfectly I would recommend to use A touch above travel for all your travel needs I got a good pricing on everything that we wanted and more highly recommended

Ken is very knowledgable. He helped find us great airfares, helped make our reservations, including seat assignments, and quickly and patiently answered my many questions. The airline he recommended that we fly on for our trip to China is the best airline we have used. He also gave me advice to make sure we had ample internet access during our trip so we could use our phones.

50th Wedding Anniversary Cruises

A friend recommended Ken as a knowledgeable and helpful agent when we were planning some European cruises for our fiftieth anniversary. We had previously cruised with NCL and like their "style", so we asked Ken if he could help us save air and land-based hotel fares by keeping us afloat. He did, and we enjoyed FIVE back-to-back cruises in the Eatern Mediterranean and the Holy Land. And, he arranged so we never changed cabins between cruises, unlike some fellow cruisers! The itineraries were varied and we had MANY shore excursions to choose from, so there was always something new and interesting for us to see and do. Ken routed us comfortably going and coming and we have made him "our" travel agent for several more trips....

Coordination Expert

I had a multi location trip where I was stopping in three locations and in one, I was dropping off my son for a field trip so it required separate itineraries and a last minute change of one of the locations. Ken was able to get me flights that did not require early mornings or late evenings, saved me a boat load of money, and gave me tips for getting a great seats during my trip. Highly recommend.

i use ken for booking my travel . i normally do several cities , hotels , flights, trains and hotels on my trips . he is able to coordinate them all together without any mishaps yet . i have used ken's services for many trips . i do book extreme high end trips and i go budget sometimes and ken does both equally well . my favorite quality of his is his itineraries . the hard copy with every pertinent detail on it is extremely helpful . addresses , confirmation numbers , directions of procedures of the country or business you are dealing with . i have it on my phone also but battery or reception is not a concern with the hard copy .

With nearly 15 different trips booked with Ken, he has made travel planning painless. We look forward to working with him when we have upcoming travel plans. Starting from the initial contact to locking down the details, he researches and gets back to us quickly often with alternatives we had not considered.
This is what makes working with him special, the alternatives. He just knows his business in ways we could never approach. His personal attention makes us feel very comfortable. From notifications on air carrier changes to special deals he finds, you just cannot get this type of service by booking your own plans on the internet.
