Group Travel and Leisure Vacation Consultant
Influenced by my family's French heritage, I longed to explore that heritage at its roots. In 1984, I enrolled in the American University in Paris, France. Attending university in France allowed me to do extensive traveling across Europe and Africa, experiencing multiple cultures and lands.
After completing my undergraduate degrees in Europe, I returned to the United States where I enrolled in graduate school at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. I completed my Master's Degree in Secondary Education and French Literature in May of 1994. While enrolled in graduate school I worked as a foreign language teacher in the public school system.
It was during this stage that I was asked to serve as tour guide for inbound travelers to Louisiana by a local travel agency. This was the catalyst that launched me into the travel industry as an outside sales agent for over thirteen years. In October of 2000, I left the public school system and worked as a staff development trainer for a local hospital.
I still, however, continued to serve as an outside sales agent for a Lafayette, LA based travel agency. In 2003 I was offered the manager's position at the Lake Charles office, GlobeTrek Travel. After serving as manager for over two years I purchased GlobeTrek in May of 2006.
I have completed several specialists programs including:
- the Caribbean
- Europe
- Hawaii
I focus heavily on group travel and enjoy escorting my larger groups on their exciting and fun-filled vacations, tours, and cruises.
I'm available around the clock to assist you.
Planning travel doesn't always happen in a few minutes. Sometimes those plans require research and determination to make the vacation, honeymoon, or group event a success. With that said, I always go the extra mile to assist my clients with planning a vacation, which will turn into a memory, that they will never forget. My clients can even reach me after hours if they have questions or need additional assistance prior to and during their vacation. Service does not stop once the vacation has been purchased.
