Vieques Puerto Rico....Paradise!
As a kid, our vacations included the beach and camping. At the age of 19, I went on my first "real" vacation to Mexico with a group of friends. We went all inclusive and that's when the travel bug got me!
Since then, I have traveled annually. As a family, we are set out to visit all 50 states. The rules are: you must stay overnight and you must do something in the state for it to count! This has made travel planning with kids a lot of fun. Because we live on the East Coast, we are fortunate that many trips have been road trips to jump the rocks at Dianas Bath in New Hampshire, take a historical trolley tour in Savannah Georgia or explore the caves in Kentucky. Some of our other family trips have been to Play Del Carmen Mexico, Duck North Carolina and Seattle Washington
My husband and I not only find a family trip important to connect but also an adults only destination. Even if it's just for a long weekend to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania or a week in Aruba, our re-set is important for our own relationship. Some of our favorite adult only trips have been to Puerto Vallarta Mexico, Anguilla, Puerto Rico and Key West.
No matter the destination, I enjoy planning and making the itinerary and when we return home, not letting those moments go so quickly. I will take the many photos and scrapbook them so we can relive the adventure as we talk about where to next!
