What do you do when you think you know where you want to go, but don’t know how to figure out all the details? Travel books can be helpful—for the millions of fellow travelers also reading them (and crowding their recommended hotels and restaurants). We wanted, and needed, more personalized advice and guidance for our trip to Italy (and, especially, Tuscany and Florence). We turned to Jackie Tyson. Initially, she offered only a listening ear, interviewing us for our preferences and hopes. Only then did she offer hotel and activity recommendations. And they were perfect. The hotel, for example, packaged with airfare, was exactly what and where we needed (which we only realized once there—but Jackie knew all along!). The cooking class was small and intimate, just right for us. Working with Jackie was easy, and it was fun. Five stars from us—we can’t wait to plan our Paris and France trip with her!!
