I have loved watching airplanes for as long as I can remember. When I was young I would see planes overhead and wonder what destination they might be traveling to. That love of flying and travel stuck with me and gave me a passion to assist others in making their travel plans a reality.
I sailed on my first cruise at age 10 and fell in love. I've been cruising ever since. As a travel professional, I want to share this passion with as many people as possible. Cruising was a lot different back then. There were no mega-ships and many fewer amenities, but the elegance was still there and the joy of being out on the open water. There were few kids' programs in that era, but my brother and I still had a blast. I still remember our waiter's name from my first cruise!
I enjoy sharing my love for cruising and travel with first-timers and experienced travelers. I don't assume that everyone will love cruising, or all inclusive vacations, or escorted tours. That's why I begin each new client appointment by listening to YOUR vacation dreams are and what an ideal trip look like to you. Only after I've heard what you want from your vacation do I suggest a particular ship or a destination. I feel that trust is the most important part of the client-agent relationship.
In addition to cruises and cruise groups, I also specialize in honeymoon planning, all inclusive vacations and escorted tours. I am also able to assist with mission trip group airline tickets.
I've spent more than 45 years helping people like you pick a vacation that they and their family will enjoy and remember fondly for a lifetime. We contacted Rob to help plan our family reunion cruise for 30 people. He found just the right cruise for us in our specified time period and made all the arrangements. It was really complicated as we have 14 adults and 16 children and cabins had to be arranged with adults close to children and we wanted to all be close together. The whole process was completed in about a week with insurance included. Communicating with Rob is fantastic. He responds immediately, answers all questions and makes great suggestions. He gave us all the information we needed and did all the work for us. I can't say enough about our experience in booking this cruise!. We recommend him highly!!!!!

During a recent family emergency, I contacted Rob for assistance in booking a plane ticket to travel across country to where my parents live. I chose to delegate this simple task since I had a lot on my mind and hadn't flown in quite some time. Rob handled my request with absolute courtesy and professionalism and answered all my additional questions about current air travel regulations. I was most impressed that he took the time to assist me though the fee for doing so was minimal (and worth it to me.) I also saved money on the ticket because he alerted me to an expected sale. I gave Rob a call based off of Kudzu reviews, and I was not disappointed. I wanted to coordinate a birthday trip for some friends to celebrate with me in Cancun. Christmas Cruise

Planning a trip for nine people is never easy, but scheduling the trip for the week between Christmas and New Year's Eve can be a nightmare. However, Rob made it the easiest trip ever. He handled every detail from the hotel on the night before the cruise to our accomodations on the ship. He even took care of booking our "off-ship" excursions. Rob booked an outstanding honeymoon package at an absolutely beautiful resort. When our “private pool” room was unavailable, over time Rob worked with the resort and was ultimately able to reserve our dream room. Then, 3 weeks prior to departure, the resort closed due to Covid. Rob immediately went to work, and within 24 hours, booked a more upscale resort for virtually no change in cost, and was able to book our dream “private pool” room with additional upgrades. And we received a beautiful care package in our room! Wow! What a fantastic trip! I had an urgent need--I had been left in the cold yet again by my travel agent that I've used for the past few months. Rob was willing to spend as much time as needed to understand what type of experience my fiance and I wanted out of our honeymoon. He worked hard to find the best rates possible. He always returned phone calls and emails promptly, often within hours, and with great detail. I never felt pressured but Rob was good about preventing us from dragging our feet. Rob made planning our honeymoon much easier than it would have been if we had tried to do it by ourselves. In the future, we will certainly contact Rob again.

I was booked on a flight to check on elderly parents several states away. However, I became ill, and could not keep my original plan. Rob at Fly Smart was able to guide me through the change process, and even rebook a ticket for my husband to join me on this trip leaving Christmas Day. He helped with our rental car reservation, also. I don't think we could travel without him.
