Just before the Inaugural Sailing of NCL VIVA

I started out in a small travel agency in Fayetteville, GA in 1996, right after I went on my first cruise and loved it. I knew if I could help people relax, unwind and visit amazing destinations just as I had, my job would be fulfilling. Working in a small agency, taught me all the ins and outs of travel, from answering the phones, to printing tickets and delivering cruise documents, That is a thing of the past, everything is electronic now. I continued in time working for a large cruise company for several years. I took some time out to raise my two girls and travel the world working for Delta Airlines. Once they grew up and went away to college, I decided to get back to being a travel agent and that is when I came across AffordableTours.com. With amazing reviews and a family background, I knew this was the agency for me. 

Working in travel of course makes you want to visit new destinations all the time. My favorite places England, Ireland, Scotland  and Italy. Escorted tours have given me the chance to visit places that I never would have visited all while making friendships that would last. I also enjoy the relaxed, laid back ambiance of River Cruises, being able to get up close and personal in parts of cities that are just not reachable by the larger cruise ships. Cruising all the Rivers is definitely on my bucket list. I have travelled a lot, but there is still so much more I want to see. 

After all these years in travel, I still love hearing the excitement when someone new calls and is trying to arrange their first ever trip, whether it is an Escorted Tour or River Cruise or just a quick Ocean Cruise to a new destination. I am glad that I am able to share my experiences and help create their memories.
