Hi traveler(s)!

My name is Damita and I own Damita Travel's! I have been in the travel business since June of 2022 and have been loving every single moment!

I fell in love with travel at a very young age. I had the privilege to travel to Brasil in the 7th grade with People to People without my family. That was my 1st ever chance to experience another country, to see how another country lives, eats, the way the air smells, the dirt color, etc. At such a young age, I had already fell in love with traveling!

I feel in love with learning about other cultures when I went to Nicaragua, in High school with Global Glimpse! We had the opportunity to give back to the community, live like a locals, and be fully immersed in the culture. The coffee and cacao farms, waterfalls, forests, and local bus rides will forever be with me! It also inspired me and I fell in love with learning about the native culture and nature directly from the locals perspective, what better way right?

I knew that travel was for me when I studied abroad for a month in Japan! That was the best trip I have ever taken! I was with fellow students but choose to venture off and treat the trip like a solo vacation. This allowed me to move how I like, like a local! I love to feel immersed in the community and culture, I like to travel to experience not only the best places, things, etc it has to offer but how the natives live. What do they do for fun? What/How do they eat? What do they recommend?

I would just get on the train, get off at a random station, and just wander for hours while observing the people around me, the smells, the views, etc. I would just let my intuition tell me which way to go, sometimes it would go down an ally just because it looked interesting! Dangerous, maybe, but I am here to tell the tale and to encourage all of you to take at least one solo trip in your life!!

So, it is now my passion and my purpose to help others gain the priceless experience of travel! Everyone says that it is their biggest regret when we get older, not traveling enough. I want to help you experience each corner of the world like you've never done before! The touristy things are great! I think every place has those certain places/activities that are unique and special to that region that are a MUST SEE, however, I want to help you see each place like never before! I want you to feel like a local to fully get immersed in the experience!

This means I will be doing my due diligence to research and dig to find the paths less traveled while providing you with the necessary history to appreciate, recognize, and respect the native culture!

I overstand that planning for trips no matter how big, small or where in the world it may be, it can get stressful, confusing, and overwhelming for even the most experienced traveler.

I am here to make your dream vacation as simple as packing, showing up, and relaxing or adventuring! No worrying about due dates, documentations, weather, or any fine print. We will go over everything together before we pass go! 

The way I travel is the same way I want to be with my clients, intimate! I want to get to know you so that I can accurately curate the perfect itinerary personalized to you and your needs! I will be there with you every step of the way, notifying you of any changes and of my personal recommendations! Nothing will be left in the dark or left late minute!
