I discovered my lover for travel at a very early age when I took my very first trip to the Philippines to see my grandparents. I marveled looking out the airplane window and the thought of hopping onto a plan and traveling thousands of kilometres and end up in a different continent where the culture, food, and language are different than what I know at home. The name “Alpas” comes from my Filipino heritage to mean “get away and discover”. As I grew up, I would spend hours looking at an atlas or the globe and figure out ways to visit and discover places. I would then be inspired by travel personalities Rick Steves, Samantha Brown, and Andrew Zimmern to plan trips for friends and family. Today, I have crafted my childhood hobby into a brand new career. I share my passion to help clients delve into a destination and discover those little nuggets of moments to become shareable memories. As part of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am an advocate for travel destinations that promote equality for all people and their safety. Other than Antartica, I have visited multiple countries in each continent, and still plan plenty more. Whether spending time in one city to spending weeks traveling all over a region, I look forward to the chance to create an itinerary for one’s future travels.
