With a lifelong passion for the travel and hospitality industry, my journey began in my hometown of Chicago. Starting with two years of hospitality experience in high school, I worked my way up in luxury hotels during college breaks. It was during my junior year at Morehouse College that I fell in love with New York City, which eventually became a second home. 

Prior to graduation, I had the privilege of interviewing with prestigious companies in New York, ultimately accepting a position at Consolidated Edison Company. However, my heart drew me back to the hospitality industry, leading me to work at the renowned Waldorf-Astoria, where I had the pleasure of meeting esteemed guests such as Bob Hope and Frank Sinatra. 

Returning to Chicago, I joined the InterContenental Chicago concierge desk under the guidance of the legendary Marjorie Silverman. Her mentorship inspired me to become a member of Les Clefs d"Or, an esteemed association of top hotel concierges worldwide.  Through this affiliation, I had the opportunity to travel extensively, cultivating invaluable relationships in the luxury hospitality industry. 

While Chicago is my hometown, New York City holds a special place in my heart due to its ever-changing energy and diverse neighborhoods.  Exploring various parts of the city, I've developed a deep appreciation for its culture and vibrancy.  

As a hotel concierge in Chicago's "Gold Coast," I have established relationships with luxury brands and gained a comprehensive understanding of what luxury means to different individuals. As a luxury travel advisor, my focus is on curating exceptional experiences tailored to my client's preferences, paying attention to details such as provenance, uniqueness, and exceptional design. 

In every interaction, I prioritize integrity, authenticity, and effective communication, aiming to build trust and lasting relationships. Going beyond the transaction, my mission is to ensure a seamless and enjoyable travel experience for my clients.  Collaborating with local travel partners and hotel concierges, including Les Clefs d"or members, I strive to exceed expectations and make the Les Clefs d'Or motto, "Anything is possible, " a reality. 

With extensive travel experience across various continents, I am an accredited American Express Travel Consultant, Delta Vacations Travel Partner, and Hilton Worldwide Travel Consultant. "Mark Roberts the Concierge is incredible!"

What a great place! Mark Roberts, the concierge kept sending us candy, fruit, and flowers.  He arranged transportation locally in the hotel's magnificent LEXUS sedan. He checked every day to see if there was anything he could do for us. We will stay in this hotel whenever we are in Chicago.  Have also spread the word about the excellence and great service of Mark Roberts and the entire staff.  July 2017

"A trip that will be remembered forever" 

My girlfriend and I came for the long weekend and decided to stay at the Thompson.  Mark and the rest of the staff made sure that everything was set up perfectly. It was executed to perfection and they made it truly special. We will come back!  February 2018
