Hi, my name is Darla Forsnes. Let me tell you a little about myself. I have 4 children in their teens and twenties, and they are my favorite travel companions! When I am not planning our travels, you can usually find me walking my mini-goldendoodle, Eleanor Rose, or pulling important papers out from under my two cats, who like to “help” me work. I love a great Broadway musical, delicious food, everything Disney, and a Star Trek marathon. My passion for travel started when I was a young girl. Whenever my grandpa returned from his world travels, our family gathered with anticipation to hear about his adventures. He shared his stories and photos, and I was transported to far away places that I could only dream of traveling to one day. Now I am the one traveling the world! I love to explore new locations and familiar places with my kids. I love learning about new cultures and foods, and finding ways to immerse ourselves in unforgettable experiences. I also love to slow down, connect, and relax with my family in familiar places away from our everyday lives. And sometimes, I just want to spend some time alone in a place that makes me smile. Here’s something else I love: creating joyful travel experiences for others. I am excited to help you plan your next trip, whether for a restful week on the beach, or an epic adventure. This whole experience was extremely organized and thought out! All details were taken care of before my cruise and I didn't have to worry about extraneous matters. Darla planned for us to go see the 2024 eclipse out in the Pacific on the Mexican Riviera. Needless to say that this required extraordinary planning and foresight to make sure we could secure our reservations and plan things ahead of time. Thank you so much!!

If you are looking for a travel experience with no worries, then Darla is the one to go with. She makes sure every detail is taken care of. To say that Darla goes above and beyond is an understatement. She took it upon herself to wake up in time to book all of our dinner reservations at 3 in the morning because I wasn't going to be able to due to traveling. She checks in on the days leading up to the travel to make sure there are not any last-minute needs. Darla makes sure to use reputable companies for transportation that go the extra mile for your comfort. We will definitely be using Darla again. I absolutely trust her judgement and expertise to make our travel experience the most memorable.

Perfect 50th Anniversary Cruise!

Darla was amazing to work and plan with. Her experience as a travel agent shines through in planning from start to finish in even the smallest details. Any unexpected flight changes were taken care of before we knew they would be an issue for us.
Our cruise stateroom was wonderfully, carefully chosen. Close to lifts and quiet. These are qualities an experienced travel agent offer a client. All question emails and phone calls were answered quickly and thoroughly. Even during our trip, I knew she would be just a phone call or email away. Our trip went smoothly. The only hiccups being ours from all the wonderful food and drinks shipboard! The Regal Princess was a wonderfully classy ship. The staff at every turn was polite. We hardly saw our room steward, but like magic our room was always ready. The food was excellent, with so many dining room options, we tried a new one nightly. It was the original Love Boat. Perfect for a 50th Wedding Anniversary trip.

Disneyland Multi-Generational Trip Success

Darla at 5 Charms Travel helped us plan a first Disney trip for a 2 and 4 year old with mom, dad, Mimi, grandma, great grandma, and great grandpa! A lot of people and 4 generations!!
