Our family has travelled for the holidays for the last 8 years, we've been to skiing in Michigan (easy!), hiking in the Grand Canyon (not easy!), toured Colonial Williamsburg, VA and Jamestown, VA, and Memphis, TN. I have great respect for the great variety of the United States.

Eastern Europe; Prague and Budapest

We recently returned from a trip to Prague and Budapest.  I was so impressed with the Gothic architecture in Prague. So much more than my art history textbooks! I wish we had more time to explore more deeply the Jewish history of the city. If you want to look back into Jewish history, the oldest existing synagogue is in Prague.

I adored Budapest. It was just enchanting, looking like old Europe everywhere we went, and yet, so modern. We even went out for a Craft beer at a bar, learning that Budapest is a place where Europeans come to party. Watch out for the "no bachelor partys allowed" signs!
