Regaled for its sandy beaches and oceanside colonial towns, Rhode Island, while small, is home to several large cities, such as Newport, known for its sailing traditions and mansions of the Gilded Age, such as The Breakers. The capital of Providence is a haven for several parks, including Riverwalk and the famous WaterFire art installation. I enjoy working as a Rhode Island travel agent professional as I can suggest trip ideas unique only to Rhode Island. Therefore, I cannot wait to help you plan a getaway to LIttle Rhody or the Ocean State. One of the great Rhode Island beaches to visit is Mohegan Bluffs Beach, located in New Shoreham. Surrounded by natural bluffs, hikers love the challenge of walking up the bluffs’ steep staircase. Another must-see beach is Misquamicut State Beach, which lies in Westerly. A popular shore, the beach is both family-friendly and provides plenty to do. When you tire of swimming or lounging on the shore, for instance, you can always jet ski, play a round of mini golf or get into one of the bumper cars at Bayview Fun Park. Some visitors ocean kayak or head to Atlantic Beach Park where they can ride the carousel or try their luck at the arcade. I don’t believe any trip to Rhode Island is complete without visiting the Roger William Park Zoo. This menagerie, located in Providence, represents a 150-year-old educational zoo that stresses conservation. Animal lovers like the zoo’s hands-on experiences, green spaces, and high-quality exhibits. The zoo also features a rose garden and ponds. Seasonal events draw families to the zoo as well, such as the Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular. The WaterFire Art Installation in Providence defies explanation. Fire-lit metal basins are floated down the river, creating a dramatic display. You really have to attend an event to appreciate its appeal to the million-plus people who take part in the activity annually. Located on Ochre Point Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island, The Breakers is the most famous of Rhode Island estates. Once a home of the Vanderbilts, the building is now a Gilded Age Museum that provides a self-guided audio tour. The mansion, stable, and carriage house are all open to the public. Another site to see, when visiting Newport, is Cliff Walk, which winds along the state’s coastline. The best time to visit the Walk is during sunrise or sunset. To round out your visit in Newport, you also want to drive along Ocean Drive. If you love nature, history, and appreciate fine architecture, you can’t miss this sightseeing opportunity. To avoid problems with crowds or traffic, take a drive early in the morning, preferably during sunrise. Later in the day, you can visit Bannister’s Wharf and enjoy some shopping. The outdoor plaza is home to high-end stores and galleries. Yacht cruises are featured at the site as well. Rhode Island offers a great deal of fun in a small travel package. We used Carrie to help us book a New Years Eve holiday with two other couples. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the frigid temperatures. We stayed in an amazing B&B in the North Conway, NH area. We were centrally located to everything (dining, shopping, super breakfast spots and skiing!). Even though it was FREEZING we could still walk everywhere! Our lodging was great, the suggested skiing was fantastic, and I can't say enough about the dinner suggestions. Carrie knew exactly what we were looking for and knew where we could find it! All of us highly recommend her!

Ski the east! We did and it was epic. Maine hospitality is awesome, nothing like Colorado. Carrie hooked us up with flights, rooms, vehicle, food, rentals (which were super sweet demos), and lift tickets. We can't wait to do it again.

I am not sure how I came upon Carrie, but am I glad that I did! My sister and I have been looking for a girls getaway to the Maine coast forever. East Coast trip

Planning a trip to the east coast from the west coast is something I always wanted to do but thought it would be to taxing. I found Carrie online and she emailed me immediately. She put together the best trip, even included scenic drives with places to stop to eat. We used all of her recommendations for everything from where to go to what to order at a restaurant and they were all perfect. I highly recommend her.

Relaxing Vacation With My Children!

My family and I were looking for a Florida vacation. We tend to go to the amusement parks, but a friend of ours told us about this travel agent named Carrie. She suggested we had to St. Petersburg on the Gulf Coast instead. She said the water is amazing and the beaches are breathtaking. There is so much to do for young and old but there's also leeway to completely relax. I didn't understand until we were there. I had the most relaxing vacation with my children and husband! There was no rat race of the amusement parks and we all had a blast!

The Perfect Romantic Getaway

My husband and I were looking for a romantic retreat for the end of June to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Carrie was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated the small but important attention to details that made our romantic getaway so special. We stayed in a small country inn in Vermont facing the mountains for an outstanding view. The sunset was beautiful. Even with windows open, we barely heard anything from the property but the birds. Breakfast was included each morning with a fresh baked muffin with a choice of an egg dish or something sweet each day. We liked the fact that the Inn is not a typical bed and breakfast requiring people to mix at big tables.Carrie's suggestions for the local hot spots were right on! We visited the local breweries and distilleries. Enjoyed the farmers markets and antique shops. It was just enough to keep us busy and still felt relaxed. We already booked for a winter escape with her!

My family wanted to take me on a special vacation for my 70th birthday. We wanted to go to Dollywood. We know very little about Dollywood, Tennessee, or accommodations once we got there. However, we were clever enough to search online and find Carrie Steeves! Carrie was awesome! She listened to everything we were going to need and want. She made every accommodation truly keeping my family in mind. The trip was perfect because Carrie had worked so diligently to make sure that our accommodations were everything we needed. Because of the deals Carrie was able to procure for us, the hotel, shuttle service, tickets, and a few extra perks or amazing. My only regret is that I do not travel or often, but if I did, I certainly would contact Carrie again to friend our trips I wholeheartedly recommend her, she works with her clients with her heart.

Amazing New England Vacation

We had a great experience working with Carrie. My wife and I wanted to celebrate our 30th anniversary in a small New England "Christmas" town and Carrie helped us find it. I knew absolutely nothing about the area and I could not have been more pleased with the results. All her recommendations for dining and activities were spot on and she worked hard to make sure we have an amazing trip. The Inn at Thorn Hill in Jackson, NH were we stayed was amazing as well. She checked in on us regularly prior to the trip to make sure there was nothing else we needed. Again, I could not ask for a better travel expert.

The Best Winter Vacation

?We wanted more than a ski vacation in New Hampshire and Carrie helped us plan it all. Because of her, we experienced wonderful ski conditions (she knew the best ski areas to go to when it was windy, sunny, or snowy. In the mountains it truly makes a difference!) at the local ski areas. We also requested area dining, ice climbing instruction, snowshoeing trails, and snowmobiling rentals. She knew the local guides, the less traveled snowshoeing trails and hooked us up with brand new snow machine rentals. Thank you, Carrie!

Carrie helps us plan a romantic vacation for our anniversary exploring New England during the winter. The charming B&Bs, exquisite food, fine wine, and cozy spaces made us feel like we were in a Hallmark movie. We were able to snowshoe, snuggle by a fire, and unplug. Fantastic Fall Foliage Vacation

My husband and I have always wanted to see the New England Fall Foliage and spent hours trying to figure out when and where to go. A friend recommended we try a travel advisor and that is how we found Carrie. She knew when we should travel (as the foliage timing depends on Mother Nature and frequently changes, who knew!) and found us the best country inn with unbelievable views of the mountains. We live in Texas and are serious foodies. We've been watching Portland, Maine grow as a foodie destination but didn't know where to start. We contacted Carrie to help us plan our trip. The greatest summer vacation in Maine

My kids had never seen the ocean and we knew it was time to show them the beauty of the Atlantic. We chose the coast of Maine. We'd heard from friends how cool the Maine coastline is. It has a rocky coast and a sandy coast. But we had no idea how to start. I found Carrie on the Internet and emailed her right away. Her prompt response, friendly voice, and understanding our vision made her the perfect fit for us. She planned our trip soup to nuts and our family loved it. It was an experience our children will never forget.

A Bucket List Trip

There was a group of us from New Mexico that were looking to experience the famous New England fall foliage. We used Carrie to plan our trip. The trip was fantastic.
