While I am new to the travel industry, recently joining Academy Travel in March 2022, I am not new to traveling.   My husband and I started out 10 years ago with a dream to run a half marathon in all 50 states.  So far we have traveled and ran in 30 of them.  We want to finish the last 20 states in the next five years.   We also have recently started visiting National Parks.  In 2021 we were able to visit 10 National Parks across Colorado, Virginia, Wyoming, South Carolina, and Montana.   I am a reference librarian and therefore love to do research.  Planning vacations is my favorite thing to do so I decided to combine the two and join Academy Travel.

Visiting Hobbiton, New Zealand in 2018

I have been on 3 Princess Cruises to many islands in the Caribbean.  I have also gone on a Carnival and Royal Caribbean cruise.  We have traveled to Hawaii, Oahu and Kauai, for a week each and are going to the Big Island in June 2022.   In 2018, we went to New Zealand and Australia, spending a week on each.  I had some help planning this trip with a local travel agent.  While at the time we said it was a once in a lifetime trip we are already dreaming of going back.
