A site visited on a Tauck Yellowstone Tour

I got the travel bug at a young age by driving to nearby destinations. It wasn't until I graduated that I decided to take up travel as a career. In addition to graduating from the Boyd School, I'm a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a business degree. I've been in the industry for 45 years and opened my agency, Port of Call Travel in 1988.

A lot has changed since I began my travel career, but what hasn't is the desire of people who want to explore new destinations and cultures.  Some guests idea of perfect vacation is just to relax, while others want to explore places they've only read about. I help guests design a vacation that meets all their desires, whatever and wherever that may be. I handle all components of the trip so all guests have to do is relax and enjoy!

I've traveled both domestically and internationally, doing both independent and escorted tours. Visiting destinations and traveling in different ways is so beneficial when advising guests. One of my most memorable vacations was an Adventure by Disney Tour to Italy; Italy was on my bucket list and this tour far exceeded my expectations. I've also had similar experiences with several Tauck Tours that I've done in both the USA and Canada. Both of these experiences make guests feel like a VIP and I try and use those same practices when servicing my clients.

One of the most important things in today's world is to keep up with the trends. I've completed many trainings, the most intense was that of becoming a Certified Travel Consultant (CTC), a designation that is awarded by the Travel Institute after successfully completing an extensive program. Our agency is an Authorized Vacation Planner as part of Disney's Earmarked Program, which is a designation awarded to only top producers. I've also been on the Earmarked Travel Advisory Council, which consisted of 20 of the top travel agents in the USA. In addition, I've completed countless trainings (and continue to do so) to better assist guests with all their vacation wishes.
