You can visit Italy like so many tourists do -- on a pre-packaged, impersonal tour where you're hustled from one crowded attraction to another. Sure, you'll get to "see" Italy. But chances are slim that you'll truly get to "know" this magical country. Or you could allow me to create a customized itinerary for you that is designed around your interests, budget and tastes and that will allow you to rub elbows with the locals rather than with your fellow travelers. 

I can also suggest ways for you to really get to know Italy. For example, after talking with you and learning the type of things you're most interested in seeing and doing, I might recommend that you visit some areas off-the-beaten tourist track, such as Sarteano, which is a small, charming hamlet in Southern Tuscany. And because I've been traveling to Italy for more than 30 years, I can also advise you and provide you with the kind of tips you won't find in a guidebook. For example, I might alert you to an exquisite little restaurant that I discovered during one of my own trips, or advise you about the best times to avoid lines at specific attractions. 

Traveling is literally my life. I have visited countless destinations all over the world with my wife. • While listening closely to a couple who wanted to book their honeymoon through me, I quickly realized that they weren't beach people and that the Sandals vacation they were considering would be a mistake. Instead, we chose a European honeymoon that was a much better match for their personalities
• After the 9/11 terrorist incident, my agency had clients stranded in locations all around the world. With a lot of hard work and effort, we were fortunately able to book hotels for all of my clients and also re-arrange their flights so that they could get home once the airports did reopen.  
• I booked an extravagant itinerary that included a private yacht and private cars and tours. I also booked these clients into the nicest hotels in Rome and Positano.
