I have been working in the travel industry for nearly 30 years. While I am trained as a travel agent, I consider myself more of a vacation planner. Once, I had the opportunity to plan an escorted group tour to Europe. I created an itinerary that allowed myself and the group of more than 30 people to travel from New York City to London on the Queen Elizabeth cruise ship. Once we arrived in London, we spent a week exploring the city. I also planned excursions to Bath and throughout the English countryside. From London, we traveled on the Chunnel to Paris. We spent another week in Paris seeing the sights and taking day trips to see the castles in the Loire Valley.
