After a thirty plus year career planning, booking and auditing travel transactions for students, athletic teams and my colleagues in higher education; it was only logical to transition into the travel industry.  I began travelling in 1978 and I am still proud to state the US NAVY when asked what ‘line’ have I sailed the most time on?  Took my first commercial cruise in 1984 and have sailed on many of the major cruise lines with my most recent cruise being within the past year.   Throughout that time, I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying all-inclusive resorts on the Mayan Riviera, many of the Caribbean islands and in Central America.

Having served as the 'family travel agent' for several group trips of friends and family members has provided much insight into the travel industry.  This 'practical experience' of planning, working with third party vendors, and booking all the events and activities for these groups provided invaluable group travel experience.  Combining the above history with training from cruise lines, hotels & resorts, airlines and NEXION Travel Group has provided a formal background to the profession.  Over the past few years I’ve noticed a trend, from larger on-line  travel agencies, away from focusing on the needs of the client, to one of getting the next sale booked with very little follow up after the sale.  SandArt Travel Advisors is based on the premise of providing excellent customer service, while providing any, and all, services our clients request.  To borrow a practice from the hotel industry:  SandArt Travel Advisors provide travel expertise along with concierge service for our clients. 

If you simply need to book domestic airfare, we can assist you with that.  However, if you need advice on alternative activities for your destination of choice, or desire pick-up to drop-off door to door service; we will be happy to provide every element along the way.  In preparing to transition to a professional travel advisor, I have been a frequent contributor to many on-line chat platforms and Facebook groups.  We especially enjoy helping first time cruisers prepare for their upcoming cruise vacation, providing check lists along with printed tips and tricks, to make their first cruise memorable.  We always provide them with the personal email, for their assigned travel advisor, so they can ask any questions which they might not wish to publish on the World Wide Web.
