Hi, my name is Emily Cochenour (like a Kosher pickle with a ’n’) and I grew up on a horse farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. I fell in love with the beach as a little girl and would travel to the beaches of Virginia or North Carolina almost every summer. My love for international travel didn’t start until college when I traveled to Costa Rica with two girlfriends for a dance conference. It was here that my love for travel truly began!After my college years came to a close and I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Shenandoah University, I was able to experience several awesome cities of the U.S. I lived in New Orleans, Las Vegas & Los Angeles over a period of 4 years. During those 4 years, I was able to also travel to the Philippines & Thailand. In 2009, I reconnected with my high school sweetheart and moved back to Central VA. Jeremiah and I were married in 2012 in the Outer Banks, NC right on the beach surrounded by our friends and family with sand in their toes. We honeymooned in Mexico and had my first snorkeling adventure which I fell in love with! As a family, we have traveled to Jamaica, Domincan Republic & Walt Disney World. Jeremiah and my step-daughter Chloe traveled on a mission trip with our church to Haiti and were greatly affected by serving the kids at Mission of Hope. I am a Christian, a wife, a mom & a step-mom, a dancer, and a lover of travel!

As we were traveling internationally with our kids for the first time, I did not want to risk not knowing what I didn't know, despite being someone who is tech-savvy and has planned travel for business. I decided to call Emily since she came highly recommended. I gave her the budget and what I wanted, and she gave me all of it under budget! I had a zillion questions and she was very responsive. She even dropped off presents for the girls and had a surprise waiting for us! I felt completely taken care of, and we had a great time. Will absolutely use Emily again, and recommend her any chance I get.

Beautiful Breckenridge

Emily did a wonderful job coordinating the arrival to Denver of multiple family members coming from different locations. She found us a wonderful home....that very comfortably accommodated 11 people, including five children (some very young), below the age of 11. The home was nestled into the woods at Breckenridge CO and had a wonderful alpine architecture. It was well located. Close enough to town (10 min) to shop/sightsee; but also removed enough for privacy. Emily found us excursions, She also took care of a rental car for all of us and overnight accommodations before departing from the airport. Her thoroughness was remarkable, and her ability to follow up was spectacular. She sent us notifications if there were delays. She also would periodically check on us to see how things were going or if we had questions. We all had a wonderful week-long vacation. It was a 3-generational family vacation that will be remembered for years. Emily was instrumental in its success.

Epic Anniversary Trip

Emily did an amazing job coordinating our anniversary trip to Antigua. Just a couple short conversations and email exchanges was all it took for her to really understand the experience we were hoping for. What a relief to have all of the logistics and coordination done for us, so that all we needed to do was show up with smiles and excitement. I was especially appreciative for all of the travel tips and advice she provided ahead of time so that we were perfectly prepared at all times. And the customized parting gifts were the sweetest touch. Very happy with our experience.

30th Anniversary Getaway...Simply Perfect

Emily at Godspeed Travel exceeded our expectations! We had decided to go to Hawaii for our 30th anniversary. We had no idea of what that entailed. There were so many options. Family/Friend Trip To FL!

Emily helped plan a trip for us to Clearwater, FL. We had the best time and the location was perfect. The house was perfect to accommodate our group, and the beach front pool was absolutely amazing. We stayed in a neighborhood off the main area, so it was more private and less crowded which was perfect. We will definitely be using Emily again for our future travels!

Fun summer vacation

My family and I traveled to the Dominican Republic this summer, our first time there! The Bavaro Beach Palace came highly recommended by Godspeed Travel (Emily) and she coordinated every detail of our itinerary, including all reservations at the restaurants we wanted to eat at. We were a party of 8 (two families) so we were extremely grateful to Emily for securing our reservations! For this particular trip, we had issues with our flights, both departing the US and returning to the US. Emily worked tirelessly to change flights and even reserved a rental car for us to help us get home! Before our trip, Emily also left a travel goodie-bag on my doorstep a couple days before we left and checked in with us while we were there. Our goodie bags contained the cutest, personalized cups for each of us! This was my second experience with a travel agent and I remain so impressed. I’ll forever be a fan of Godspeed Travel and am looking forward to our future trips (scheduled by Emily)!

20th Anniversary Trip

If I could leave 10 stars I would. Emily planned our 20th Anniversary trip to Grand Cayman. I would have been totally lost without her. My mom and I recently returned from Pawhuska, OK (Pioneer Woman land), a trip gifted to us from my husband for Christmas. Godspeed Travel (Emily) coordinated every little detail of our itinerary, including all reservations at the popular restaurants we wanted to eat at and sight-seeing tours of the area. I was a little nervous we would spend a lot of time waiting in line to eat at the restaurants so the reservations definitely helped ease my worries. Emily provided several check-in’s with me before the trip, left a travel goodie-bag on my doorstep a couple days before we left and checked in with us while we were there. This was my first experience with a travel agent and was so impressed and truly felt spoiled. I’ll forever be a fan of Godspeed Travel and am looking forward to our family summer vacation (also planned by Emily)!

Great Family Pre-Christmas Cruise!
Food was good!! Probably Panera quality and we ate mostly at lido market, so I’m sure it would have been better if we did the main dining rooms. Service was amazing, not a single complaint. Embarking and disembarking was very very easy, not a single hitch. We did have one hiccup with the room service on the morning of our excursion, but they apologized profusely, and it all worked out. Towel animals were adorable as always. Rooms were perfect! Ample room for a cruise and adjoining was perfect. The ship itself was a great size. It's definitely a ship that’s geared towards older people. I would happily go back on HAL, but I may consider royal next time that we bring the kids. No complaints or regrets for HAL though! We had a great time and my 11YO was never bored (which I knew she’d never go to a kids program so we didn’t need one). I probably wouldn’t take kids smaller than her but again, that was no surprise and I specifically wanted a lowkey ship that wasn’t little-kid oriented
