Greetings:  My name is Cheryl Green.  I have spent my entire life helping people.  That is what gives me great joy.

As a young mother I spent my time helping other moms through a wonderful mothering group called La Leche League.  My husband and I were very active in the Boy Scouts of America where we led our town's troops but also led the district with the Day Camp Program.  We were Early American Crafters and demonstrated the life of the 1860's in our local historical village.

My choice of employment was always customer service oriented.  I was a beautician for several years and after my children were in school I was a receptionist/secretary for a social service and then started my own business as a Christian Bookstore.  I then started in banking and started as a teller and retired after 20 years as a Financial Service Officer.

My retirement did not last long.  I joined Lighthouse Travel in Camanche, Iowa and am now totally enjoying my new career as a travel advisor. I had travelled for years with Lighthouse Travel and my husband and I have so many wonderful memories of our trips.

Helping people plan the trip they have always dreamed of is very rewarding.  Putting what they have envisioned into a workable itinerary is challenging but very fulfilling.  I love researching destinations and learning everything I can about the area and what is available and what to expect.  My goal is to have them covered from the time they leave for the airport to depart on their adventure; all the way through their journey and until they are safely back home.  I always plan an itinerary as though I was going on the trip and find answers before they are asked because I would want to know.

I really enjoy working with families as they plan  a special getaway.  I have helped so many plan a cruise for Grandma's birthday, a trip to Walt Disney World in Florida for a family reunion, a trip to Alaska because it is on Grandpa's Bucket List.  I have also helped couples get to that special destination that has always been something they wanted to do ... Like a trip to New Zealand to see the Hobbitt Movie locations and the mystical caves.

I am living my dream job  as we work together to put your dreams into reality.  I look forward to working with you!
