The Riu Tropical is beautiful. I would make this my go to resort in Jamaica if it was not so far from the airport. The food was excellent and varied. There was entertainment nightly and it was enjoyable. They had staff who would come around to get the guests involved in activities such as volleyball during the day, or dancing at night.

We gave Jacqie a pretty big list of requests and a smaller budget and she delivered on all of them!!! She gave us plenty of options and helped us narrow it down to the best place for us! Great vacation, can't wait to plan the next one!

It was a great experience working with Jacquie! Everything we asked for as far as the type of resort, budget for the cost of the trip, air and the travel arrangements were all perfect for us!

Big Trouble Avoided !
Two days prior to our departure for a fishing trip to Costa Rica Jacquie contacted us to alert us as to a severe winter storm approaching the Eastern US which might impact our flight connections through Charlotte NC. At her advise we switched our flight plans to go through Phoenix which helped us avoid serious delays in our trip.
This was done completely on her own initiative, just simply looking out for us. We never consider letting anyone else make our travel arrangements.

Jacqie was very helpful and efficient in getting our trip planned on short notice. Everything was professionally handled and went very smoothly from finding the resort, making all of the reservations, and giving us hints for when we arrived that were very helpful.

The resort was very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good, and plentiful. Entertainment was good and quite diverse.

The beach was beautiful, but we did have sting rays and sea snakes in the breaking waves.

Jacqie was well informed about booking with Viking Cruises (we did the Rhine River from Amsterdam to Basel), including about changing times for airline travel and upgrading seats, and with travel insurance. Also, by making sure we had direct flights (no connections) and our seat preferences for the flights, she made sure our air travel was the best it could be. She did not offer to assist with European rail passes, perhaps because rail travel is not a preferred mode of travel for her. Thus we were on our own in Vienna, Prague, and Norway.

Jacqie found us the perfect All-Inclusive Resort at the El Dorado Royale in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. That place is unbelievable! Seven days at a 4-Star Resort which in our opinion should be a 5-Star Resort. From the room, to the food, to the pools and incredible friendly service, the El Dorado Royale delivered, just like Jacqie! Under almost last minute pressure, Jacqie was able to put it all together in almost no time. Which was an enormous relief for Barb and me, as we had spent days and days wasted at the computer trying to do it all by ourselves. It was very frustrating to both of us. We added on another wrinkle for her as we wanted to spend 3 days on Isla Mujeres, a small gem of an island just off the coast of Cancun, Mexico. She found a great hotel in the Privilege Aluxes, which in my opinion is in the perfect location, it is close to the ferry docks, right next to the best beach on the island and walking distance to all of the restaurants, bars & shopping.
