If you have tried to make hotel reservations on line and ended up with ReservationsGruRu, you truly need Karen. She confidently knows the ins and out of making reservations directly with your destination hotels. Then, if you make changes, you are not forced to deal with somebody in India named Joe who will increase your hotel stay 120%.

Hawaiian vacation - with an accident

Karen has been so helpful with setting up trips for us with good advice and experience. She listens to our preferences and budget preferences and lets us know options and gives us the choice. She is a real pleasure to work with . We had a mishap on this vacation. A bike accident left one of us in the hospital and in need of changing reservations for room, car, and contacting our travel insurance carrier. I was unable to get anything done - the virus situation was just starting to erupt and I was on hold with everyone. I contacted Karen - within 45 minutes she was back to me with new plane reservations, extended our rental car, had two options for a different hotel closer to the hospital and had initiated a claim with the insurance. I do no know what I would have done without her help. She is super at her job and really understood what we needed. She is great and I am in the process of telling all of my friends!

First European experience - Italy!

As inexperienced travelers, Karen knew the questions to ask us to tailor the right trip for us. She identified a tour to suit our destination and timing wishes. The Trafalgar tour was interesting & fun. The transportation from the Rome airport, during the intense Roman rush hours (considering that traffic rules seem to be suggestions rather than rules) was arranged a head of time by Karen. Thank goodness. This was a terrific stress reliever. And finally, the pre-trip discussion covering what to expect, when, how much to tip, ask for the bill, tips to navigate the trip, etc helped to makes use feel comfortable, well less confused, as we stepped into a new country. Great trip assisted by Karen guidance and coaching.

15 days in Greece

After Karen planned our trip to Greece, with many side trips, I noticed we had a free afternoon and asked Karen would she would suggest we see/visit. Her response was remarkable! She said, “nothing”. “Schedule nothing” for the afternoon. Get a cup of coffee or a drink and just sit and enjoy a bit of downtime.! Perfect advice! She was reminding us to simply stop and enjoy!

Finally made it!

In 2020, Gloria & I had Karen book us a trip to Palm Springs CA for the month of February in 2021. This included airfare, rental car and insurance for both the flights and condo. Well, Covid didn't go away like we thought it was going to and we asked Karen if she could delay us for a month which she did. Then things got worse, and we asked if she could delay our trip until 2022. She was able to do that too! Karen really hung in there with us, and we recently returned from our month of perfect weather in Palm Springs.

Trip of a lifetime

Karen has always given us the best vacations wether a land vacation or a cruise, which she does an excellent job at. She makes sure my husband with special needs has all the help and everything else he requires. When an unexpected illness required us to cancel a cruise just one week before, she worked over and above to help us get money back from insurance. We truly respect her abilities as a travel agent and have recommended her many times. Would never consider a cruise without her.

Great trip!

We love working with Karen Malone. We use her for all of our travels. Recently we went to Costa Rica. We absolutely loved the trip and would recommend it to others. It is in the same time zone and a 4 hour flight from Minneapolis. It is very tropical and really feels that you are in a foreign country.

Our favorite trip was a tour to Nicaragua by bus. An experience of a lifetime seeing the lava from the top of a volcano.

Karen is the best!

Now that we have some time to travel, my wife and I have greatly enjoyed working with Karen. Once we have decided on a destination, Karen is a wizard at finding the best prices, the most discounts, and the most convenient airline connections. Need a guide to tour Pompeii? Not a problem. Stay an extra day in Athens? Not a problem. Find a connecting flight out of Sorrento? Not a problem. Karen is very knowledgeable, always friendly, always eager to help. She knows what she's doing!

Five stars, at least!

Cruise of a lifetime

Wonderful! Works hard to be sure we get all our special needs since Don has mobility problems. This includes wheelchairs at the airport and all destinations, finds us electric scooters to rent and special transport to and from airport. Keeps in touch very well and doesn't mind my stupid questions.

January vacation

Karen was so wonderful with helping plan our destination wedding. She worked with a number of family members and friends, some who were not at all familiar with cruising, so Karen was able to answer questions and alleviate concerns about cruises. This trip would not have been planned as smoothly if it wasn't for Karen's help.

Baltic Cruise

Karen is very responsive. If there are problems she get right on it to correct the situation. She has suggestions based on her experience when we are unsure of exactly what we want to do.
She treats her customers well. She worked with a group of 3 couples who had different beginning plans of the trip and coordinated them together so they were able to meet and continue on into the cruise with each other
She has been very persistent when working with airlines and cruise ships in getting the right information, connections, flights and bookings.
She will always take the time to go over any material you would like to review. After everything is set and before your trip starts, she will review the whole travel set up.
By far she is better than any travel agent I've used before
