I started working in the travel industry in 1995  I found out that I loved travel when I took my first trip right out of high school I went to Hawaii.  We visited 4 of the islands I just knew I had to do more traveling I loved being able to see so much and learn about the islands. I went to college I took a travel class there but that was not my degree I also at one time went to find out about becoming a stewardess but really didn't want to be on the go all the time.  Finished school got married had kids did some small local trips one trip to Club Med in Mexico. I needed to travel to more places far away once you get a taste of it, it was in my blood to see more.

  A few years went by my kids were early teens and I re-married John he had been in the navy and we went on our first cruise for our honeymoon loved it. So that started  us with our every year cruise, one year for us the next we would take the kids along. But what really was the great thing in my spare time I started learning about cruising how to book them all about the ships everything I could learn.  I came across a Rick he wanted to tech me how to become an Independent travel agent. Which back then it was the beginning of that type of travel selling. He taught me all about cruises, about all-inclusive resorts and how to put groups together. I learned a lot from him he had been working with Carnival for alot of years along with Sandals.  When any of the companies provided classes I learned not to say that I was a Independent Travel agent because I would end up being the only person sitting at the table.  They felt if you didn't work at a brick and mortar store you weren't knowledgeable about the business. I added another travel company that taught me how to sell more of the travel industry "ie" airline tickets, hotels, cars etc. which I did do for alot of years.  But as time went on I realized my business was really in cruises and resorts.  So I went back to cruises and all-inclusive resorts, I always wanted to be able to give my expertise to everyone sometimes by doing to many things you aren't as good at any one of them. So I choose to specialize in cruises and groups with my all-inclusive resorts also.  In 2012 I went to a travel show and came across a group that specialized in group training.  Lou taught how to be a group planner specialized for cruising. After all the initial training we still do monthly meetings for new ways to make sure things go right on your groups or if what to do for any issues along the way. I love putting together groups I do large ones but I think my favorite is when I put together a family group, the kids and family that hasn't seen each other in awhile. The themes for the group gives me a fun way to put the group together to get everyone started on the awesome cruise, even when they are their for a work cruise.  I am doing exactly 

 I am doing exactly what I love, I have tweaked my business thru the years I have loved it all but I have now found the perfect combination.  Funny how I am back to where I started out with I just didn't know it at the time. I didn't know how to say no, I thought I had to take care of everyone at any cost. I found out that being great at a couple things was better than being ok at all. Life is good now I love cruising getting to know everyone around the world in all the places we visit makes my travels a success.
