I am a passionate traveler. I've been around the world. I lived in France and explored Europe extensively, especially Italy and Greece. I've also used my experience to book many custom-crafted itineraries for clients. I have my favorite places to stay, locations to visit, activities, and of course incredible food and wine to enjoy. And, every time I travel, I explore new areas, new restaurants and more art and culture. When I lived in France, I traveled nearly every weekend. In addition to Greece and Italy, I've been throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, Slovenia, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, and of course England, Scotland and Ireland. I also love Southeast Asia! Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan...stunning places to explore. And recently I've added Africa and South America to places that I've traveled. OK, you get it. I love traveling. I find something new every time and love to bring my love of these destinations to my clients!

This summer, I hired a travel agent for the first time in my life, and learned one thing: I will NEVER book another trip by myself. Working with Mike Salvadore was quick, easy, completely painless, and absolutely fabulous! When I called Mike, I was extremely far behind on my travel plans-I was simply stuck. I was traveling to a country that I'd never visited, and I didn't know where to begin. Mike met with me for a short period of time, and asked me questions about the types of things that my family likes to do on vacation, as well as budget and timing. The next thing I knew, Mike & his team presented a detailed presentation of our trip. This was not an easy trip to book. The trip included flights to several island locations, cars to inland destinations, and local-flavor excursions. One great surprise was the wondrful private tour guide that took us to see the ruins in Delphi and Olympia. Mike also found the MOST fabulous hotels, And most importantly, it was all EASY !

Mike was excellent! He asked all the right questions up front to help discern what kind of experience we wanted to have, and what type of travelers we were. We'd never used an agent before and we not sure what to expect as we're incredibly picky and like to be in control. He was great at incorporating our wishes and requests into the trip, suggesting things we hadn't thought about, and really taking care of all the logistical elements for us as that's the part we dread. He was responsive and available when we ran into an issue while on the trip, and immediately worked to fix it for us and it ended up being one of the best days of an already amazing trip. We're already talking with him about our next adventure.

Mike is a phenomenal travel agent. This was the second European trip he planned for us and we cannot rave enough about the service he provided. My family has always had Greece on our bucket list and Mike helped us to fine tune this trip so that it was perfectly suited to us. We gave him a budget and asked him to give us choices within that budget. Planning could not have been easier. Mike connected us with unbelievable personalized tours, easy connections and transfers, and accommodations that were perfect for our family. Mike helped make booking our honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico so easy and stress-free! We gave him a list of things we wanted on our resort as well as some activities and excursions. The resort Mike found for us was the Ocean Maya Royale, and it was absolutely beautiful! It was our first trip to Mexico and we could not have asked for anything more :) We took a Catamaran boat tour to the Isa Mujeres, went snorkeling in a lagoon, toured a cave, and went ziplining. We had a blast! I highly recommend going through Mike for your vacation needs, I know we will definitely be using his services in the future!

I chose to work with 58 Stars and Mike Salvadore for two reasons: Rave reviews from friends who have worked with Mike; and knowing that 58 Stars sponsors a few charities I support (Fred Hutch and Make a Wish). I could not be more blown away and thrilled with the two-week trip to Italy that Mike put together for me and 10 of my friends to celebrate my 50th Birthday.
The planning of the trip was so much fun - There are so many options with Italy, and Mike guided me through choosing an itinerary which focused on Italian food and culture, unique experiences mixed with luxurious down time.
Some highlights: Our group were the only patrons at a Michelin Star restaurant on a Monday night - turns out the restaurant opened that night just for us! The food & service were incredible!
Bocce on a beach with locals followed by rooftop dinner on the beach. Unreal! Everything Mike put together was beyond my high expectations. He delivered a trip of a lifetime for me and my 10 dearest friend

This was our first time visiting Italy, so I reached out to Mike to help us plan a special family adventure. His knowledge about European travel and his available resources made planning easy. He was able to give us exciting options and advise us as to which itinerary would make sense for our family. He set up outstanding tours and activities and arranged all transportation for us. Everything Mike and his team at 58 Stars Travel planned for us – excursions, transfers, hotels, etc. was incredible and truly 5 star. I booked a trip with Mike to safari in South Africa that was scheduled for Summer of 2020 and I have no idea what we would have done without him. Mike was proactive and helpful as we went through the complex process of moving the trip out to this year and making changes to the schedule. We never could have done it on our own. On top of that Mike planned us a vacation that exceeded our expectations in every respect. We were not sure what we wanted the trip to be and he was detailed in his suggestions and patient with our indecision. Mike did an excellent job of working with us to plan travel, hotel, and experiences on our first trip to Italy. He connected us with an awesome tour guide in Naples, a very unique experience in the Abruzzo region, and accommodated our last minute travel change requests. Mike was a major help to us when Delta changed our return flight to the US without notifying anyone! I contacted him and he was able to get us on a different flight home in record time. Incredible professional, personable, knowledgeable and all-around exceptional experience with Mike and his team. Beginning with the planning, all the way through our travels on airlines, hotels, activities, transportation and the wonderful guides and drivers our trip was incredible. I usually do all of the planning for our trips but decided to not tackle this particular trip on top of others. Mike made this painless from the first phone call until we returned. Mike booked the best Rome vacation for my family! Our hotel was in a perfect location for getting to our tours and enjoying the city center. Our tours were first rate! Mike was fantastic to work with. He is very responsive to emails/inquiries and is a true professional. He really listened to what my husband and I wanted out of our trip to Colombia and planned accordingly. He was spot-on with the accommodations and activities he chose. Mike went above and beyond my organizing personalized details. For example, we had lovely notes, wine, snacks, and even a framed photo waiting for us at our hotels since Mike had coordinated with the hotels and informed them that it was our wedding anniversary. We would not have been able to plan this trip without Mike. He found local gems that we would never have found on our own while at the same time avoiding overcrowded tourist traps. After our trip, Mike promptly followed up with us to make sure we had a great time. 5/5!

Amazing Itinerary, Perfectly Curated!

For our first trip to Africa, we were pretty nervous and unsure of ourselves. We knew we wanted to see Cape Town, go on safari and then try gorilla trekking. But we had no idea the combination could be so completely wonderful at every turn. From the accommodations in central Cape Town and the day trip to Robin Island to the easy and exciting flights up into Zimbabwe and our first of two incredible safaris there, to an unbelievable stay at a gorilla trekking lodge in Rwanda – Mike made the whole thing look and feel completely easy. Icelandic Adventure

To plan our trip to Iceland, we contacted 58 Stars. We connected with Mike over Zoom & he gained an understanding of our interests. Mike prepared a beautiful itinerary hitting all of our marks. We had some last-minute changes and Mike was very accommodating.58 Stars put the itinerary into a very simple to use App for our convenience. This made our travels so easy! All our adventure vouchers were found within it along with links to driving directions. It also included hints for visiting additional sites along the way.
Needless to say, Iceland was incredible! Mike planned thrilling adventures, relaxing & nourishing visits to hot springs, and dramatic & scenic routes for us. Our accommodations were very, very nice at the three hotels Mike booked for us. For our adventures, we were directed to the front of the queue, and we were offered private changing rooms at a very busy hot spring.
I can’t wait to plan our next adventure with 58 Stars!

Mike was terrific in crafting a journey that kept our 16-year-old daughter engaged right along with my husband and me. Finding private expert guides to help us navigate cities and monuments led to fantastic memories: unknown tales of artists, a trip to a food market and preparing a meal in a chef's home, exploring the lemon groves of a boutique limoncello maker before he hosted us for a meal and exploring hidden treasures along the Amalfi coast (who knew there is a beautiful, small town that allows cats to roam free? We had a wonderful experience in both Bali and Vietnam! The guides assigned to us: Wes, Pho and Vinny were excellent. Patiently answering all of our questions, acting as our liaison to smoothly facilitate our activities and interactions. Having a Destination Asia guide greet us at each airport made us feel welcomed and in good hands. We certainly were glad to not be in the long lines worrying if we had done all prep to enter correctly. The drivers: The law-less vehicle flow, congestion, and traffic, fascinated us but we were very happy to not be navigating it. We appreciated the high level of personalized customer service the recommended hotels provided. We loved the activities, hiking, biking, rafting, which gave us a fun way to explore the countryside. We learned a lot during the home visits, cooking demonstrations, farming and temple visits. Thank you for recommending Vietnam, we enjoyed what we were able to see and do in the short time we were there.

Mike is an exceptional travel agent! This is my third trip with Mike and every time I work with him, he wows me and my travel companions. The process of planning the travel with Mike was a pleasure. I'll start off by saying that this was the best vacation of our lives - it couldn't have been better! Working with Mike was a breeze - he made it incredibly easy for us. He listened to what we wanted and made an itinerary, fitting in everything we wanted to do (and we wanted to do a lot of things) and giving us a few options on hotels/activities. The hotels we stayed at were unbelievably beautiful and luxurious - honestly, they were probably the best hotels we've ever stayed in. The whole trip we felt so taken care of and special - almost everything we did was private so we could be on our own schedule, and enjoy just us. There were no glitches the entire time because Mike made sure everything was seamless throughout. For a big trip like this we were nervous to leave it in someone else's hands but we were so so glad that we did. I would HIGHLY recommend Mike to plan your vacation! Mike helped my wife and I plan a trip to India and he was organized and very insightful during the planning process. The people who he set us up with in India were amazing! Mike worked with us to find a before and after Italy holiday with a swim excursion in the middle (swim hosted by another company). He found true gems for us to stay at and flights that were really great, including manageable layovers at Heathrow. Favorite Vacation

We decided to celebrate our 30th anniversary we would go to Greece. We have always made travel arrangements ourselves accepting that there may be some “hiccups” along the way. We wanted this trip to be special. Mike arranged a trip that well exceeded our expectations. Traveling this summer has not been easy, particularly with flights. We did not have any issues and were grateful for only one stop each to and from Athens. Each hotel was a perfect choice for us. Our hotel in Naxos was amazing.. We were very happy to be staying in Imerovigli in Santorini. I do not think we could have experienced this trip without Mike’s expertise. Due to wind, on the morning that we were scheduled to take the ferry from Naxos to Santorini, all ferries were canceled. Their partner in Greece, AFEA particularly Afroditi was in touch with me all day. She booked us on a later ferry and communicated with transfer and hotel. I highly recommend 58 Stars and will be working with them on our next adventure.

From the moment I reached out to Mike, he was extremely helpful, patient, and resourceful. He set up a call with me early in my trip planning to discuss exactly what my wife and I were looking for in our honeymoon. He was able to book us 2 perfect resorts along with excursions that we absolutely loved. Mike was also extremely patient as we had to move our trip through COVID and he was able to rebook everything for us with no hassle or additional fee. It was a pleasure working with Mike and I look forward to booking more trips with him in the future.

Mike was fantastic to work with. We had a geographic challenge for the places we wanted to see and Mike was able to put together an itinerary that made the most of our time. All of the hotels he suggested were fabulous, and we were delighted throughout the trip. His coordination was invaluable. It was a trip of a lifetime.

Dream Honeymoon!

Mike helped us plan our dream honeymoon. He was very knowledgeable about the Greek Islands and was helpful addressing any questions we had about each of the locations. Seamless booking process with hotels and excursions. We originally booked for June 2020, had to cancel twice and finally went this past September. Mike stayed in touch with us through the whole process (over 18 months from our original booking) and kept us updated on openings, travel restrictions, etc. We would highly recommend Mike for anyone looking to book a vacation in the Greek islands! Very informative and helpful!

Each day was so much fun and it was a great mix of different activities in each city! Gennaro was the absolute best guide and gave us a personalized experience based on our needs for the trip. We can’t recommend both Mike and Gennaro enough, they were excellent!

Mike was incredible! This was the easiest trip I've ever taken. Whether it was the flights, the room, the car, even activities, he took care of everything! Once I was on the plane I didn't have to think about anything until stepping off when we got home. I can't believe how effortless it all was. The entire trip was all a first class experience. Mike quickly put together a great itinerary for us when we presented him with the idea just a month and a half before our departure and was very responsive to emails, even when he was out of town himself. I had given him a challenge to find a perfect destination in the Caribbean where I could get away from the tourists and enjoy a relaxing, luxurious vacation and he nailed it. I was blown away with the resort (Sailrock - South Caicos) he recommended and could not have asked for more. Truly, a trip of a lifetime. Mike is the best travel agent around! He partnered with us to create the most amazing Italian itinerary for our family. We went to Rome, the Amalfi Coast and Venice. Mike collaborated with us to plan out every detail of our trip. Every single hotel reservation, tour guide, excursion, train ticket, and private bus or boat transfer happened exactly as planned. We found him to be very easy to communicate with and was always quick to respond to our emails and calls. His expertise in Italy also meant that he has access to the most incredible tour guides and activities, things I couldn't plan myself. We are beyond thrilled with how our vacation turned out. I would absolutely recommend working with Mike to friends and family.

Mike has been truly professional. I started working with him in 2020 when I was trying to figure out how to get to Europe with all of the various travel restrictions. He took a small deposit and then worked with me continuously until we made it happen. My flight had delays and false information but Mike and his team worked very hard to help calm my nerves and find out what was actually going on (even on a Saturday). Moving onto 2021, Mike set up a fantastic trip to Greece for me and my partner. He helped with Safari suggestions for Africa and a flight back to the US over Christmas. In 2022 he has provided suggestions for trips to Italy, France, and even Morocco. I was always skeptical about working with travel agents because I felt like I was capable of doing the work on my own. I was wrong. Working with Mike has elevated my traveling experiences time and time again.

Contacted Mike because my brother used his services for his trip to Italy and he was raving about his trip. So I had a last minute opening in my schedule for the last week of august and first week of September. So of course I waited until august to contact Mike... He asked me what type of vacation we like to have and he was able to put together absolutely amazing trip for my family of 4. We travel frequently and before we had to think of everything, hotels, tickets, transfers, things to to, places to eat, etc. Mike took care of everything. We got the itinerary with all the contacts, schedules, and so on. Everything went as was explained and without any hiccups!Will definitely use Mike again for future trips to Europe.
