I am a passionate traveler and an adventure seeker. Making memories with the people I love most in the world is the driving force in what I do. For years I have been planning travel for family and friends; advising people on destinations and activities and encouraging folks to fill their life with enriching experiences instead of with material things. I read somewhere once that when we are on our death bed, we can't take any of our THINGS with us to an afterlife- but we have our memories and they are eternal. THIS is why I love to plan travel.
I have had many careers - my first formal training was in education and I taught secondary school history and geography for years before I joined the US Army to become an Arabic linguist. My love of culture, history and diversity drove me towards a lifelong journey in education and after the Army, I earned my Masters in Strategic Intelligence and Arabic Studies.
It has been my experience that travel and cultural experiences broaden our minds, erase cultural stereotypes and knit us together in this amazing human experience. Travel is a gift we can give to our children - a way to ingrain compassion, endear a love for adventure, and prepare them to face any unknown with confidence and resolve. It isn't just about creating memories; it is also about evolving into a world citizen; someone who is acutely aware of all they have to learn and all they have to give.

Stress-free vacation!

Denise is an enthusiastic travel planner! She has wonderful suggestions and is quick to respond to inquiries including updates to say if she is still waiting for information to pass along. She kept in touch in the time leading up to our travel including a gentle reminder to bring our passports if we wanted to leave the ship. Denise and her family were on the cruise with us and she was wonderful about checking in with us just enough to see how things were going and answer any questions. We had a wonderful time and a big part of that was having our plans set in advance and questions answered.

Unfortunately do to the coronavirus my husband and I had to cancel our tips to Greece and Milan, Italy. BUT, Denise was fantastic!! always answered our questions when needed and took the hassle out of the whole booking process. Can't wait to plan a trip soon.

Meticulous planning with a smile!

Denise organized our group of over 20 folks traveling in to the Caribbean from various locations in the US. Somehow, she kept track of everyone's deposits, payments, questions, needs, and wants, with everything coming at her via Facebook posts, texts, phone calls and emails. I'm sure that she was asked the same question twenty times by different people, yet she answered all of my questions like I was the only person she was working with. Denise is incredibly patient and she also clearly loves her job, and it comes through in every interaction. I can't wait to plan my next vacation with her.

When planning a cruise for my 30th wedding anniversary, I decided to use Denise because I was sure there would be a lot of moving parts. I am so glad that I did!!! She is smart and super attentive and made the planning process much less crazy.Denise was excellent on helping decide which cruise company to go with, and offered advise on which airline to use. She had all of the big picture details to keep us on track of when decisions needed to be made. I had completely overlooked the fact that the State department needed our passports to be good for 6 months out - and Denise discovered that in time for us to get new ones. I will not hesitate to use Denise when I'm planning another major trip like this, and highly recommend her.

Girls trip to end all girls trips!!!

Where to begin?!? Denise at Live It Well Travel has planned multiple trips for our family, but most recently planned a girls only trip for 24 women, myself included, to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. She found us an amazing deal at a gorgeous all inclusive resort. She completed the booking process for us, offered easy monthly payments from my credit card (I call it Vacation Layaway!), and worked with all of us to ensure our flights from all over the country arrived in as short a time period as possible. She paid attention to all the tiny details for us, including flight details, shuttle buses, excursions, spa appointments, passport reminders, packing lists, tipping recommendations, you name it! She had an answer for almost all of our questions, and was able to get answers for the most oddball ones too. I am always amazed at her ability to best herself with each trip she has planned for me, but she continues to out do herself every time. She is the best!

Unforgettable Trip of a Lifetime

This was our first time leveraging a travel agent, and our first time going to Europe. We became aware of a deal from Denise's online updates. We were a little unsure what was included or not, and with a quick call she cleared up our concerns and gave us real world expectations. Her help was crucial to us being comfortable and enjoying our trip. She consistently checked in with us leading up to the trip and over social media even while we were there. Denise's advice was spot on from sites, to logistic travel tips, all the way down to cultural differences we should be aware of to not stand out too much. Our trip was not guided, so it was up to us to pick and choose what we did each day, and Denise was our consultant we ran everything by. We would not have taken advantage of this amazing deal if it was not for her coaching. It gave my wife and a 20th anniversary trip to remember. Denise is wonderful to work with. She has planned multiple trips for us and we couldn’t be more grateful for the time and effort she puts into making our travels trips of a lifetime. We do not have to worry about anything! Denise takes care of all the nitty gritty leg work. Organizes the entire trip from the time you depart to when you arrive, transportation to the resort is booked, a hotel representative is booked to go over excursions offered, and when it is time to head home transportation is booked to go back to the airport. You do not have to worry about a thing! Denise crosses all the T’s and dots all the I’s! You just pack your suitcase and go have the time of your life! Thank you Denise for all your legwork!! River Cruise Rookies

Most people book this type of cruise at least a year in advance. We decided in September that we wanted to do one in December. Denise found us three options. She took care of everything once we decided. She was great about accommodating our flight and travel preferences. Water levels on the River jeopardized our itinerary up until two days before we left. Denise was in constant contact with us and the cruise company! It's so refreshing to work with someone who loves what she does! We are recommending Denise to everyone we know.

Denise is fantastic! She's super easy to work with and very knowledgeable regarding all things travel. I think one the most important attribute of a travel agent is their ability to think of the things the traveler might not and she is great at this. A lot of excellent suggestions and recommendations. I highly recommend her as the "go-to" Travel Agent.

BEST DISNEY TRIP EVER!!!!

My experience working with Denise was wonderful! She was so knowledgeable about Disney. I went in knowing absolutely nothing and came out having THE BEST TIME EVER. We had high demands with wanting lower traffic, special military/ disability access, dietary restrictions, needing lots of character meet and greets and she nailed it. She was able to dig deep and knew how to get us exactly what we wanted in a very organized fashion. Everything was taken care of start to finish. She made traveling worry free having set up every detail. I would highly (and have) recommend her to anyone! She was given as a referral to me and I will gladly pass her name to anyone wanting to travel.

The perfect vacation

Denise took great care to select a vacation destination and resort that were a perfect fit for our family! My husband and I were traveling with our 19 and 16 year old boys and she was tasked with finding us a relaxing vacation spot that also offered options for our active lifestyle. She could not have done better. Our Cub Med Columbus Isle vacation was the absolute perfect mix of R&R with lots to offer for the more active traveler. In addition, she knows I am french-Canadian so imagine my surprise when I arrived and found that the resort was filled with French-Canadian employees!!! All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our trip. On a more serious note, we happened to be traveling when the Covid-19 pandemic was unfolding, and her level of customer service while we tried to make the decision whether to travel, and checking in with us while we were away and uncertainty was increasing at home was unparalleled. Thank you Denise for a vacation we will always remember!!

Denise is an amazing travel agent, she consistently returned my emails promptly and was very knowledgeable. If I asked something she was unsure of the answer to she promptly researched and found the answer. She regularly provided travel suggestions and recommendations to make traveling easier. Denise is well traveled and was able to provide a perspective that many other agents can not!! I would highly recommend using her for your next vacation plans!

2 ALMOST SUPER VACATIONS

My wife & I enjoyed fantastic experience with Denise with booking our travels during these trying pandemic times. What you get from Denise is up to the minute news updates, timely follow up emails even when she is on vacation, comprehensive answers to your questions, even the silly ones, and a compassionate interest in your well being. You WON`T receive this service on the internet , believe me. Even though circumstances in these past weeks forced us to cancel BOTH vacation trips, Denise was right on top of the procedures & kept us informed . We will be planning more vacations in the future when things calm down and Denise will absolutely be our choice again!
