Canterbury Cathedral
There’s nothing like escaping the drizzle in a homey UK pub. It seems they’re made for those little moments of pause, chat, and sip. I love a Pimms and lemonade, and my husband always chooses a random local brew. I've been lucky enough to visit the United Kingdom multiple times. Every time I have a new favorite place. Here are a few of my favorite moments:
Oxford
We booked our Oxford train tickets for May Day without knowing it was a huge celebration. It was the first May Morning singing after the pandemic. The streets were full of faeries. It was like stepping into the worlds of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Lewis Carroll. My husband and I grabbed a hot chocolate and walked the streets with our literary history guide. Libraries, writing pubs, Harry Potter movie sets, Oxford is full of little moments of wonder.
Canterbury
Everyone knows to visit the high spires of Canterbury cathedral, but no one knows to explore the low points of the Canterbury canals by punting. Our little hour on the water going around and under the buildings of Canterbury is as cherished a memory as our tour of the famous cathedral. Not to say the cathedral isn’t shockingly beautiful in sight and story, it is also by far one of my lifetime favorite tours. I just had to recite the opening lines to the Canterbury Tales from my college memory at the entrance.
Leeds Castle
The United Kingdom is a place for the path less traveled. We choose to disembark the train at a small station without attendants and enjoy a walk through the countryside to Leeds Castle. On our way through the village, we stopped at a farm-to-table shop for coffee, a ham sandwich with a thick slab of amazing cheese, and freshly baked apple fritters. We talked to the kind store owner about what it was like to live in rural England before packing up and heading to Leeds Castle. Leeds Castle is absolutely gorgeous. A surprise to me, the inside was renovated by Lady Bailie in the 1930s. It is full of Great Gatsby-esque glitz and glam!
London’s Hyde Park
While seeing the well-known sights of London (Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, London Eye, etc) we stopped for a rest at Hyde Park one morning. We found an adorable little cafe run by two ladies, had a full English Breakfast, and wandered the park. I never thought seeing so many swans at once was possible!

Working with Gabrielle Estel on our first trip to another continent was an absolute pleasure. She is responsible for making this trip to Egypt the best trip my family has ever taken. She was super patient, knowledgeable and kind throughout the planning process. Gabrielle was always there to take my calls before our departure on this elaborate trip. We were a little nervous that everything would work out as planned. The trip was flawless, and Gabrielle made that possible. I called her often during planning and she was always there to answer her phone and she did so cheerfully. My wife and two children had a wonderful time. The resort in Cairo and Luxor were beautiful. The private tour guides were prompt, very accommodating and knowledgeable. The private tour was the best decision we made. Next time we plan a trip, we will be calling Gabrielle for sure!

Food and Family Fun in Italy and Greece!

Gabrielle-We had a great trip. All hotels were perfect. The tours were great and the transportation worked great. I was impressed that even with flight delays they were waiting for us. Greece had an added benefit that both in Athens and Mykonos we were met by a travel representative and driver. The rep gave us a personal number if we needed anything and they were fast to respond. The cooking classes were prefect. It was hot the whole time we were there, but we completed almost everything.

Best Europe Trip!

Gabrielle, I'd just like to say a big Thanks for all your hard work it really showed. Transfers and hotels were above and beyond what I expected. The first transfer flying to Greece was a little scary because we had no idea what to expect. Driver left us off at the wrong hotel but they got us to the right one a couple blocks away. 2 hotels with similar name. Settled in after that and everything else perfect. Europe was a whirlwind so structured and rushed for me but we covered a lot of ground! We should have done this 10 years ago. Good breaks on the bus trips and a nice small group of people. Cruise was a nice relaxing end to our trip! Thanks again Karen

Italy and Greece Honeymoon - Perfect Choice!

Thank you for a beautiful trip. We had a wonderful time in Sorrento and on Crete. Both were beautiful, but Italy was our favorite. The people were amazing, the food was great, and there was so much stuff to do. Trust Gabrielle with Your Trip!

Our trust was not misplaced! We had a fabulous time in Ireland and Scotland. I think the time in each of our destinations was perfect. It allowed us some free time to explore as well as an opportunity to learn from experts about each city. Our lodging could not have been more strategically placed; it allowed us excellent walkability to everything. The advance tickets to the Edinburgh castle were great as they were sold out for the day.Overall, I was so impressed with you and Destinations Unlimited. Perfect Family Spring Break!

Thank you for all your help with our trip! We had a GREAT time! We honestly didn’t leave the resort once we arrived there, the resort offered a lot of different things for us to do. There were shows in the evening, an escape room, the kids enjoyed the pool entertainment and the waterpark. We bowled, saw the monkeys that live at the resort, visited the club (which reminded us just how old we are!! 😊) and checked out several of the bars. Our connecting rooms were perfect, it allowed for some privacy and separation. The terrace in our room was amazing – we spent a fair amount of time upstairs enjoying the lounge chairs and relaxing before bed. The hammocks on the balconies were also a hit! Thank you so much again for everything! We will be in touch the next time we want to plan another trip!

Amazing German Adventure!

Bad Wildbad was great fun for us. Thanks for steering us that direction! We hiked the mountain twice. The village has an amazing walking park along their river to the south of town. The spa was great as well and very relaxing. We had a lot of fun just driving through the black forest and the mountains. Relaxing, scenic, and exciting at the same time. My wife says she wants to go back again.Krumbach was a great choice for our daily trips to Breitental to explore my wife's heritage. The Stadthotel was perfect and the oldest hotel/restaurant in Krumbach. Again, the staff was great, and we ate at the hotel each night because the food was awesome.
As usual we had great food everywhere we went and found a favorite bakery at each stop. So, no major issues or changes needed.

Spain and Portugal Dream Trip

Wine and Culture in France

Gabrielle,The trip was really amazing. I especially enjoyed the private tours. Our guides were so knowledgeable and could answer every question. The Paris and Bordeaux hotels were nice. The hotel in Marseilles was quirky and not as large BUT the location was superb. The breakfasts in all three were over the top! The metro in Paris was so easy to figure out and getting to the Expo at Silmo worked really well. The airline cancelations threw us off a little bit, and we appreciated your quick change to avoid the airport strikes! Having the pick up and drop off from airports and hotels was very helpful as the language barrier for things like that was more difficult. All in all a great experience.

Sorrento Travels

We had a WONDERFUL time in Sorrento. We actually all said we would have liked to stay longer!Hotel Leone was perfect!!!! The people were wonderful! The daily breakfast was awesome! The hotel, pool, pool bar and our rooms were so clean and so nice!!! And, the location was absolutely perfect! We could walk everywhere. It was close to the pier where you get on the boat tours. Close to so many amazing restaurants, hot spots, and shopping! We would definitely stay there again!!! We loved the beach. It was so fun and beautiful! The water is crystal clear! Amazing!
All of our transfers we great too! We changes our rail time and arrived in Naples 2 or 3 hours before our transfer was supposed to pick us up. I reached out to them and they rescheduled and had someone there to pick us up early. Again, wonderful!!!! They said it was no problem!!! What great people and experiences!
We appreciate everything so much!!! Can’t wait to go again.

Great trip to Seoul!

Thank you for helping put together my trip. You were wonderful to work with. I had a great time returning to Seoul. Gabrielle was able to put together a customized itinerary to see very specific sights I remembered as a kid. I had a great time seeing these locations, the palaces, the DMZ, museums, and all the great food. The people were nice, and I had a great time taking photos of the streets. I'll be giving you a call when I have time to return to Seoul next year!

Grand Guidance

Thank you for your time and guidance, Gabrielle.I had a grand trip to the Pacific Coast. Everyone on our group trip got to know one another well, and I have a new friends to keep in touch with. The experiences were very well done, the hotels were great, the meals were above average - all was just great. The Redwoods were absolutely amazing; they were the highlight of my trip.

Best Sandal's Beaches Family Vacation!

Our stay at Beaches Ocho Rios, Jamaica was exceptional. We felt very safe on the property and during our resort/airport transfers. There was no reason for us to leave the property because there were so many things to do! The accommodations were spacious and well maintained. We enjoyed all three pools at the resort. The kids spent a lot of time at the water park or at the beach. We took advantage of all the complimentary water activities such as snorkeling, standup paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing, and riding the banana boat. All of the restaurants served incredible food; our favorite was The Venetian (Italian). All the staff were smiling and friendly. They always said hello and asked what they could to do make our stay more enjoyable. We liked the feel of being "at home" and that we were all "family". For an all-inclusive resort, it was well worth the money and we highly recommend this resort. We were so happy with our trip. Thanks for all your help!

Hiking in Germany

You did an amazing job, setting up the different places and guides in France, Germany, and Switzerland!!! You can’t imagine how much your planning helped us!!! For first time travelers you had it all planned out so we felt confident in what we were doing!! The cancelled train ride and you were on top of it and had a different train ride set up and had informed our pickup before we even knew it was cancelled. Relaxing Family Spring Break

Our trip at Secrets Moche was wonderful. It was a beautiful resort with wonderful restaurants and we enjoyed the evening entertainment as well as the live music played by the pool and lagoon. The resort paid extra special attention to our daughter being vegetarian. Several waiters at the restaurants were also vegetarian so they were able to provide her with dish entree recommendations.
We spent most of our days at the Entertainment pool where the staff kept us entertained and involved with basketball, volleyball, water aerobics, bingo, and blackjack. This was some of the best staff on the resort and made the stay so enjoyable and we never felt bored or ran out of things to do.
We appreciate you recommending Secrets Moche to our family and may even return there again someday.
It looks like you are doing a lot of traveling yourself and I will keep your email handy in the future for additional trips.

India Sights and Wonders!

Gabrielle created a truly memorable and enriching experience for our vacation to Egypt! She curated a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, ensuring that every moment of our once-in-a-lifetime trip was extraordinary.Gabrielle included both unique and exclusive activities, such as walking up into the Pyramid of Giza, exploring the treasures of the museum (King Tut), and visiting the Muhammid Ali Mosque. Riding Arabians around the pyramids at sunset and dining at a beautiful rooftop restaurant added an extra layer of magic to our journey.

An Amazing Time in Rome

Our trip to Italy was AMAZING! You picked all the right things, and we had a great time.The cadence was exactly right. We were able to see all the things we wanted to see, and when we saw the lines (that we WEREN'T standing in), I can’t imagine how our experience would have been different just showing up on our own. We had time every day to do the things on the itinerary,and we also had times to see things on our own. And we had some REALLY good food on our trip!
I think the golf cart tour was something that we were a little unsure about before we left, but our guide was fantastic and it was perfect. We might not have chosen that on our own, but your recommendation was exactly right—it was a great way to see a lot of Rome. The quality of guides throughout were really incredible.
We will definitely be back for our next trip. This is the first time that we’ve worked with someone for a trip like this, but I can’t believe how easy you made this trip!
