Active and Adventure travel is my specialty and passion. I’ve completed the Travel Leaders extensive Active and Adventure travel program and have personally experienced adventure travel myself in both Ireland and Japan. Active and adventure travel can mean different things to different people but to me it can be as simple as immersing yourself in the local culture and giving back to the local community. There are so many different ways to experience adventure travel! There are tour companies that offer experiences that range from being “basic”, luxurious, to completely active tours that will keep you going all day. They specialize in offering accommodations that give back to the local economy, offer real life experiences, and use local guides who can navigate you to the best places to eat. My goal as your adventure travel consultant is to guide you towards the experience that fits for your wants and needs. In my own travel experience, this has been my favorite way to travel! You really get to experience and witness the true culture of each destination you visit.

Alyssa took over our booking for our trip to Great Britain a few months before our trip was scheduled. She was extremely communicative, quick to respond to any and all inquiries leading up to, and even during, our trip! She went above and beyond to make sure everything we needed was taken care of. She was even able to book us a VIP Harry Potter Studio Tour package within our preferred time frame with pretty short notice. I would highly recommend her!

Alyssa was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make sure this was a vacation we will always remember. She was very thorough and organized. From planning unforgettable excursions to transportation to lodging, EVERYTHING was taken care of so that we could just enjoy our trip without stress. She was able to take our dream vacation and make it a reality. She answered all of our questions and provided helpful suggestions during the planning process. When an unanticipated family emergency cut our trip a bit short, Alyssa immediately worked (after business hours) to ensure that we were able to get home as soon as possible. I would not hesitate to recommend Alyssa to friends, family, and co-workers...in fact I already have. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would. She was truly that awesome and I plan on booking another vacation with Alyssa as my travel consultant.

I enjoyed working with Alyssa, she is very friendly and professional and made sure that all the arrangements were set and ready for us before we left for our trip. We added on a few extra days and Alyssa did a great job planning it for us. She was available via phone, email and text. Our trip was very enjoyable and I would recommend using Alyssa as the travel agent for any trips. We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary and it was very special. She checked up with us after the trip to make sure there weren't any problems. We did have one minor problem and Alyssa quickly had it resolved for us.

A truly exceptional vacation designed by Alyssa

I first sat with Alyssa for about an hour with a barrage of indecisive questions and vague requests. I knew we needed a vacation but did not want to go conventional. After a long chat and an additional 6 separate email volleys, amazing Alyssa set us up on a road trip up the I 35 corridor through Texas. Corpus Christi to Dallas in 8 days. Lots of things to see from the USS Lexington and Texas State Aquarium and South Padre Island, then a short drive to San Antonio & the Beautiful river walk and Alamo. Then another short drive to Austin and it’s night life and then finally to Dallas for that great town. She picked Excellent hotels in perfect spots. Although we had a pretty open itinerary, the resorts and hotels that she specifically picked for us were amazing and super close to most of the action and attractions. They were clean, great staff, and hassle free end to end. So thankful for Alyssa’s help! She took the stress out of everything!

This was our first trip to Europe. Alyssa did an amazing job linking a pre-planned portion of our trip and she added in additional areas we wanted to visit. She booked our flights, hotels, train tickets, and a walking tour. Our accommodations were outstanding in terms of their location, breakfast offering, and service. Alyssa really took the anxiety out of planning this trip. She was responsive and thorough. She listened to what we needed and researched what would fit best. Remember the "old days" of using a travel agent? Well, guess what: those folks still exist, and if anything, they work even HARDER to get your business in the current climate of Expedia, Travelocity, and the like. We had to plan a major trip from Michigan to Australia, and the details were becoming overwhelming. I only had to place ONE CALL to Alyssa, and she was on it. Within days, she had a full itinerary prepared for us, and when I wanted some adjustments made, she quickly put those in place as well. She always answered the phone, and quickly responded to emails. Seemingly no detail was too small or insignificant for her to tackle, which served to lift a huge weight off of our shoulders. She took care of two unseasoned travelers as if we were royalty, and any future travel plans we make will definitely be through her.

She is knowledgeable and efficient. I explained that I wanted to stay near several different cities in accommodations within walking distance of restaurants and pubs without being among too much city noise (this seemed like a difficult request to me) and she found several options quickly that fit exactly what I was hoping to do. While we were there, we just enjoyed ourselves. My husband kept commenting that the trip was very well planned, with very little stress.

Alyssa literally helped me every step of the way. I have never went on vacation in my life, especially not somewhere out of the country. So with that being said, I feel like I asked so many questions even at weird times ( Sometimes even at like 8:30 at night) She would seriously text me back instantly! I never felt confused or felt like I was not getting good service. Not only did she make sure we had the best time, she checked in with us during out trip to ensure it was everything and then some. I recently got engaged and this was our trip to actually get to spend one on one time together and Alyssa helped me fall in love with Ryan even more because she set me up to actually enjoy our trip and she handled everything else!!! I literally will not use anyone else except for Alyssa because she proved that no matter when, what type of destination I wanted or budget would get in the way of us getting our dream get-away. I cannot wait for her to plan our honeymoon!!!!

Alyssa is the best! She works so quickly and stays on the ball. I had a lot of changes and requests for my trip and she handled them all with ease. She also allowed me to text her so I was able to answer questions and communicate with her quickly and efficiently. We traveled through London and road-tripped through Ireland. Every B&B was fantastic and the locations of each place were so convenient for exploring and getting to know the town. Couldn't have done this trip without her expertise, organization, and help.

When Alyssa gave us the book of resorts to pick from, Valentin was not one of them. Alyssa told us that this place would be an amazing place for our honeymoon and we took a chance. When we arrived it was beyond our expectations. It's an oasis here and it's so beautiful. I'm so glad Alyssa found this beautiful place for us and we are already planning our anniversary here next year.

amazing trip to Ireland

Alyssa did a wonderful job planning my trip with my husband to Ireland! We followed her recommendations and different options. We drove from Dublin airport to Galway, and then down to Killarney, then back to Dublin. Stayed in each city for 2 days each, and Alyssa booked tours in each place. Everything was fantastic and an unforgettable experience. She was very easy to work with and was always available and on top of everything!
