The diversity of Panama unfolds as you discover the colonial architecture of Panama City and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Casco Antiguo, it was one of the things that drew me to this undiscovered destination.  You will witness the engineering marvel that is the Panama Canal while sailing to the Pacific Ocean, I did a day cruise that ran from Panama City to Gamboa where we boarded  our ship to transfer through several of the locks.  Just outside Panama City is Playa Veracruz- it is near the city but far enough away to have space to enjoy the beaches.  In all between the beaches- the rain forest- the culture- the history.     There are many faces of Panama that has made it one of my 5 top destinations.  Don’t forget about the Rum!
