I have traveled multiple times to Mexico, visiting different states in Mexico in order to understand and promote the culture and experiences that each state offers travelers. Mexico is a large country with 32 states. The geography of Mexico is as varied as our very own in the U.S.A. Copper Canyon in Chihuahua compares if not beats our very own Grand Canyon in size and overall impression. Baja California is rich in marine life and with it's dramatic desert backdrop, it is a fisherman, scuba divers and adventuress paradise. The Riviera Maya boasts some of the best beaches around and is a haven for those seeking sun, fun, adventure and a bit of history and exploration of Mayan culture at the ruins of Tulum/ Chichenitza. If you enjoy biking or rock climbing, Chiapas or Monterrey are great options for you as well.

Mexico is a top destination for foodies and art lovers a like. Mexico City has been known to be the "Paris of North America" because if it's outstanding gastronomical options as well as it's museums. Oaxaca is a haven for foodies and artist alike; cooking classes and galleries line the streets of this very beautiful colonial city.

Mexico's traditions are alive and omnipresent and so are the indigenous groups that still retain their native tongue. If you are looking for a real cultural immersion experience where you can meet and explore Mayan, Zapotecan, and several other thriving indigenous cultures, Mexico is the place to go.

To date, I have been to Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico City, San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Cancun/ Riviera Maya, Morelia, Michoacan, Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Atotonilco, Patzucaro, Oaxaca and the Sierra Juarez/Norte Mountains and it's small mountain communities and many more Interior small towns throughout Mexico. I can tell you that each and every experience has left me feeling inspired and more appreciative of the Mexican culture. The diverse landscapes and the varying cultures within one country have impressed me beyond words. Mexico is so much more than beautiful beaches and all inclusive hotels, which are fantastic by the way, but off the beaten path, you will find a myriad of treasures you never knew existed.
