Certified Sandals Specialist by heart and training

So many different experiences await you.
So many different experiences await you.

Sandals/Beaches resorts have been a passion for me since 2003 when I took my first personal trip. I had a dog eared brochure that had been flipped through more times than I could count. Sandals did not disappoint. The following year we took our three children to Beaches and they fell in love too. All of us got to have a completely care free vacation with no worries of cleaning, cooking, or figuring out how to entertain the kids. Our whole family scuba dove for the first time.  In 2012 I was remarried at Sandals South Coast. 21 trips later I have personally experienced all the Sandals and all But Beaches Turks and Caicos. We continue to love the luxury included inclusions and the whole experience. I have been a Certified Sandals Specialist for several years and love to use my experience to match my clients with the Sandals/Beaches that will suit their wants and desires best. I can recommend tours and drivers for each resort. I love to hear the stories my clients tell when they return.

From the Midwest Jamaica is the easiest to get to and holds my heart. The people have such warmth and identity. I often feel this is a destination best experienced for many days to fully get to know her. Sandals has 7 resorts and 2 Beaches options for families. Located in 4 areas of Jamaica they are a perfect home base to explore different parts of the island. Montego Bay is great for those who like to arrive and be on resort as soon as possible. It also happens to have the original Sandals Over water Villas and Bungalows and troves of newly designed spaces.  Ocho Rios offers so many tour and cultural options as well as being home to the Sandals Golf & Country Club with included transportation from the 2 Sandals or the Beaches resort. Negril is the Capital of Casual and a home to beautiful sunsets. Having both a Sandals and Beaches it is perfect for Weddings with the whole family. You can then head down the street for your adults only Honeymoon. The South Coast is a secluded paradise offering sunrises, sunsets, and over water bungalows. I was married in Jamaica and we return yearly as we miss it dearly if we wait to long to return.

The Bahamas is also relatively easy to reach from the Midwest and offers 2 Sandals options.  Having stayed at both twice I find I love different things about each one. Sandals Royal Bahamian in Nassau offers more activity and things to do off resort. I love the private island and the great sea life we have seen off the back side. Sandals Emerald Bay is a secluded paradise with an on site Greg Norman golf course that showcases the Caribbean Sea on its back 9.  My favourite tours are located here. Swimming with pigs, nurse sharks, snorkeling the 007 Cave are just a bit of what you can do. It is also the home of the Chat N Chill where after a ferry ride we had sting rays brush against us like well loved pets.

The Islands of Antigua and St. Lucia can be a bit more challenging for us Midwesterners but it is well worth the effort to experience both. Antigua boasts a large resort on one of the most beautiful of Antigua's 365 beaches. This smaller island offers a wonderful 360 tour that can not be missed. St. Lucia boasts 3 resorts that enable you to stay at one and play at 3. It is also home to more of Sandal's over water bungalows. St. Lucia is best know for the Pitons and the Hawaii like landscape; it even boasts a drive through volcano. This island hosts Jazz festivals and is an active travelers dream.

Barbados and Grenada, until recently, were difficult to reach from our location.  June 2018 I was able to get wonderful flights in both directions to Grenada. This isle of spice still has a more quaint feel but the resort is nothing but modern and has some of the chains most beautiful Suites. Barbados now boasts 2 resorts side by side and showcases many of the resort chains newest innovations. The people were so welcoming and though my husband could not get the exchange rate right they always gave us the correct change with a smile. I warn you Jamaica fans do not ask for a Red Stripe as they are quite proud of their local beer. You will want to experience Oistins Fish fry on Friday for a little local flavor.

We have such a hard time when we come home. We get so used to not having to have our wallet. We get so pampered by the staff, dining options, drink options, and inclusions . One of the first times we almost walked out of a restaurant in the airport with out paying.  We lament the lucky folks that are now having all the great experiences we were just privy to. Luckily we will return and I will have even more things to share with you for your own trip.
