 My journey to these countries was SAFE and fun! As I consider myself a global citizen, I take it all in.  I do all that I can do when I travel and then I go home to talk about it to as many people who want to know.  I am not a gregarious person and I don't talk about my travels much, but once someone finds out I'm a Travel Specialist  they become very curious about my travels and often find themselves planning their next vacation with me.  

When I was in these countries, I hiked Masar Ibrahim Khalil trail.  I didn't hike the whole trail which takes about 23 days!  I did a smaller section that took about 5 hours at a leisurely pace. There are even shorter trails if you are interested.  I saw beautiful wildflowers, shepherds herding the sheep and goat.  I saw the natural spring that many people live off of and enjoy playing in in the summer time.  I also ate some thistle! Yes, thistle is edible.  It was a great experience.  My guide, a very knowledgeable native, explained everything about the land and it's people to my small group.

I didn't just experience the active lifestyle, I took a dip into everything I could!  I stayed in Bedouin communities, ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at multiple women's co-ops and Bedouin camps.  I visited Petra and climbed the 800 steps to the Monastery.  I took a 4x4 Jeep ride up mountains to see wonderful landscape and through Wadi Rum.  I rode a camel, can't miss the opportunity. I swam in the Dead Sea and snorkeled in the Red Sea while having a BBQ on a boat cruise from Berenice Beach Club to the Hyatt Regency Ayla Resort in Aqaba.  

I saw all the religious and historical sites and was overwhelmed by the history here in this cradle of civilization!  When I did slow down, it was to eat the wonderful homemade middle eastern/mediteranean food!  It is so fresh and healthy!  Olives, tomatoes, eggplant, hummus, labneh and all the freshly made bread.. It truly is amazing.

(foreign independent travel) Is customized and private to suit your individual or group needs.  It is usually guided, which I highly recommend, if you want to be knowledgeable and truly immerse yourself in the culture.  Unguided travel, makes for wasted time, energy and money.  You don't want to waster your precious time.  F.I.T. travel can also be done with groups, and you can travel when the time is right for you and your group.

Small group travel - Guaranteed Departure travel is guided and has a maximum capacity of 15 passengers, on average is usually 12. You would meet individuals from all around the world!  Guanteed departures have a set date and set itinerary which allows for free time as well.  Small groups are a great ways to travel because you can interact with others and become lifelong friends, not to mention the value you get for your money is great.
