All inclusive resorts are extremely popular in Mexico and the Caribbean. Traditionally, they may be thought of as couples or adults getaways, but there are actually PLENTY of options for families as well. There are SO many to choose them. They may all look similar from the outside, but they all speak to different audiences. For example, a resort may advertise that they have a beach, but is it actually usable? There are some resorts that are very nice and highly recommended, but beach lovers would want to stay away from. "All inclusive" can also have different definitions." What's included at one resort, may not be included at another. It is important that you choose the right one for you and your family, friends, or group.

"But what if I don't want to be stuck at a resort for my entire vacation?" I strongly believe that, just because you book an all inclusive resort, that doesn't mean you have to be stuck there. Sure, there are some that feel like they are in the middle of nowhere, but there are still plenty of excursions that can be booked with third parties (or sometimes by the resort themselves). Think of it like a cruise, on land. You can stay at the resort time to relax and enjoy the resort activities (just like you can stay on a cruise ship the entire time). But, you can also take excursions and enjoy the world around you.
