South Korea Travel Agent Expert

South Korea, a nation that seamlessly blends ancient traditions with modern innovation. From the bustling streets of Seoul to the serene temples of the countryside, my journey through South Korea promised a unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. This trip was an opportunity to explore the rich tapestry of this dynamic East Asian nation.Chapter 1: Arrival in Seoul - The Heart of South Korea My adventure began in Seoul, South Korea's vibrant capital and a city that never sleeps. The bustling streets of Myeongdong, lined with shops and street food stalls, welcomed me. I explored historic landmarks like Gyeongbokgung Palace, where I witnessed the Changing of the Guard ceremony, and Bukchon Hanok Village, a glimpse into Korea's traditional architecture.Chapter 2: DMZ - The Korean Divide A visit to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) offered a sobering insight into the ongoing tension on the Korean Peninsula. I stood at the edge of the border and visited the Joint Security Area (JSA), a surreal place where North and South Korean soldiers stand face-to-face.Chapter 3: Jeju Island - Natural Paradise My journey took me to Jeju Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a natural paradise. I explored lava tubes and caves at Manjanggul, hiked up the dormant volcano Hallasan, and enjoyed pristine beaches like Hyeopjae and Jungmun. Sampling local delicacies, including black pork and Jeju tangerines, added flavor to my island adventure.Chapter 4: Traditional Hanbok and Tea Ceremonies In Seoul, I had the chance to experience traditional Korean culture firsthand. I donned a beautiful hanbok (Korean traditional attire) and visited Bukchon Hanok Village again, this time blending in with the traditional surroundings. Participating in a tea ceremony allowed me to appreciate the mindfulness of this ancient ritual.Chapter 5: Gwangju - Art and History A trip to Gwangju, known for its artistic spirit, introduced me to the country's contemporary art scene. I explored the Gwangju Biennale, a showcase of international contemporary art, and learned about the city's significance in South Korea's democracy movement at the May 18th National Cemetery.Chapter 6: Temple Stay in the Mountains My journey concluded with a temple stay in the serene mountains of South Korea. At Haeinsa Temple, I participated in meditation sessions, learned about temple life, and witnessed the Tripitaka Koreana, a collection of Buddhist scriptures carved onto wooden blocks. The tranquility of the temple provided a peaceful finale to my South Korean adventure. Conclusion: South Korea's Harmonious Blend My vacation in South Korea was a journey through a country that effortlessly blends tradition, modernity, and natural beauty. As I bid farewell to the bustling cityscape, tranquil temples, and the warm hospitality of the South Korean people, I carried with me cherished memories of a dynamic nation. South Korea had left an indelible mark on my heart, a testament to its harmonious blend of the old and the new, and the enchantment of the Land of the Morning Calm.

Lindsay is so great at this! She is knowledgeable, efficient, and quick. She helped us find a great price on a lovely seaside cabin for my nephew's Marine graduation. She'll help you find the vacation you are looking for!

Put our minds at ease

I highly recommend Lindsey Shell as a travel agent. She has planned trips for YWAM to countries such as Togo, Africa, and South Korea and other places. Recently, she planned a trip for six people to Cartagena, Colombia, arranging hotels, parking for the vehicle, and one week's stay at an Air B&B. She is able to find flight tickets with ease, and last week, after several frustrating tries for tickets to India, she worked her magic and got those same tickets in minutes!
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends
