I started seeing more people traveling together after 9/11. Many of my clients are grandparents who want to create special memories with their children and grandchildren through travel. I myself have 3 children and 6 grandchildren and I love traveling with them. Here are some of my favorite trips to book for families:

Europe

Kids love Europe. Those trips help them become more knowledgeable, sophisticated and exposed to culture. Italy is always a great choice, including gondolas rides on the canals of Venice, the Gladiator Museum in Rome, and the markets of Florence. Plus, Italy has food they can relate to. For accommodations, I love securing exclusive VIP amenities for my clients that they can’t get themselves online or by booking direct, such as room upgrades and daily breakfast. Some of my favorites are the Gritti Palace (Venice); The Eden (Rome) and The Savoy (Florence.)

London also has wonderful activities and hotels for families. Iceland is a great up-and-coming family destination for spas, hot springs, the pristine Ice Hotel, ATV rides on the glaciers and magnificent vistas.

Land and Sea

Regent Seven Seas Cruises are a great option for families with terrific shipboard activities and compelling shore excursions. 

Canyon trips from Salt Lake City to the Dakotas are a wonderful option if you are staying in the United States. 

One of the best family beach vacations is at The Cove Atlantis, Bahamas, which is “elegantly situated between Cove and Paradise Beaches creating the feeling of being cast away on a private, white-sand sanctuary.” They have a nice lazy river pool and innovative kids programs.
