Disney's California Adventure

My first visit to Disneyland was when I was two months old. My parents even left me with another family while they rode the Matterhorn! I guess the seventies were a different time. Needless to say, Disney imprinted on me at a very young age. I grew up in Disneyland, visiting with my parents at least twice a year until I moved away at the age of six.

I suppose I overcompensated by becoming obsessed with Walt Disney World in Florida. I have made twenty trips there, some with others, but mostly solo. My last trip was in January of 2023 and this was a special one for me. I decided to tackle some of the things I had never done before. I stayed at Port Orleans Riverside in a Royal Princess Room, did the fabulous Keys to the Kingdom tour at Magic Kingdom, got blown away by the Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom, and even grabbed a spot on the Behind the Seeds tour at EPCOT. Of course, I had to toss in a Fireworks Dessert After-Party.

Last year, I made my return to my first love… Disneyland! It had been decades since my last visit. Let’s not discuss how many decades. Let’s just say several. The return of the Main Street Electrical Parade was a siren song that I couldn’t resist. I felt like a kid again and discovering Disney’s California Adventure was a real treat for me. The World of Color Dessert party provided a perfect viewing spot as well as tasty food offerings.
