Sailing on Disney Cruise Line

Captain Minnie & me on the Disney Magic!

I am lucky enough to be a Gold Castaway Club member, meaning I've sailed more than 6 cruises on Disney Cruise Line. There are so many things I love about Disney Cruise Line... and the characters you get to sail with don't even make the Top 5!!

5. Room Service... you heard me right. Room. Service. There's a great menu on each ship where you can call and have breakfast, chicken fingers, burgers or more delivered to your room!! While you'll pay for cans of soda or cans of water from room service, wait until you read my number 1 to learn how to avoid the extra charge for those!!

4. Dining RoomS! Each ship has multiple dining rooms, not just one. You can dine at Royal Court, Enchanted Garden, Animator's Palate or more INCLUDED in your sailing. Each dining room has its own menu and yes, you can order more than one of any, or all, courses. And yes, your table number stays the same as you move from dining room to dining room each night so it's easy to be seated. Even better than not having to remember multiple table numbers is the fact that your servers travel with you! The team you meet on night 1 moves from dining room to dining room and gets to know you and your travel party. By night 3, there's a good chance that your drinks will be on the table before you even sit down.

3. The. SHOWS. Seriously... it's not just a silly song and dance done by a few characters... these are Broadway style shows done the way only Disney can perform them. Shows we all know and love llike Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Frozen, The Little Mermaid & Tangled... and shows that remind you of the Disney Magic we have learned can never be recreated like Disney's Believe, The Golden Mickeys, Disney's Seas the Adventure, Twice Charmed and Disney Dreams.

2. What's Included... I love that Disney Cruise Line includes SO much on the ship. It's not just the room and main dining room meals that are included but that soda and juice from the drink stations are included! Yep... you heard me right. You bring a refillable cup and you can fill it with soda, juice (including POG on some ships) or coffee and tea from any drink station on the ship. The shows, the around the pool entertainment, movies, trivia and more!!

And my NUMBER 1 favorite part of a Disney Cruise...

1. Castaway Cay!! Seriously... there's white sand, clear water, cast members taking drink orders at my beach chair, hammocks, bike rentals, BBQ, water sports, sting rays, snorkeling, an adult only beach and SO much more. It's one of my favorite places on Earth... and I have a feeling that Lighthouse Point, Disney's newest private island in the Caribbean that's debuting this summer, is going to be my second favorite place!!

Honorable mentions do need to go to the staff, the announcement chime & ship horn and of course.... my favorite Captain... Minnie Mouse!!

Magical Disney Trip

She answered our questions fully. She has extensive knowledge of the parks and resorts. She helped us design a trip that was just right for our family. That was amazing. It did not feel like a "cookie-cutter" trip. It was the trip that was right for us. She also offered a variety of options that would work for us at different price points.
She was in touch immediately when discounts became available. All that she offered was in the best of interest of making this a trip that would be good and enjoyable for our family. It was a true pleasure working with Chrissie. We are so grateful for her assistance. We would have been overwhelmed without her. I suspect our trip wouldn't have had half the magic it did if we hadn't had her assistance.

Disney Road Trip

Chrissie is so great to work with. We were planning a 5 day trip and wanted to hit all of the parks. My husband and I are very different travelers- he likes to see and do everything, while I like a slower pace. Chrissie knew exactly how to plan our week so we got to experience each park on their “ quietest” days. She then very patiently walked my husband through using the Disney app and how to use our fast passes so he could start planning our day even before we left the hotel. She gave great recommendations for dining as well- we had the best ice cream sundaes! No matter what kind of traveler you are, Chrissie can plan the right vacation for you.

Making Disney Magical

Chrissie was the best to work with. She has helped me plan a few trips to Disney and I couldn’t have done it without her! Disney Mothers Day weekend happiest MOM on earth!

Me and my daughter decided at last minute to do a Mother's Day weekend trip to Disney. I had not been there in 13 years and didn't know where to start! Chrissie was absolutely incredible. I had never used a travel agent before when booking a Disney trip, and didn't think I needed one, but Chrissie came highly recommended. When we had a flight cancellation which resulted in us having to move the dates of the trip, Chrissie was able to rearrange everything by working some of her secret magic. Disney has a lot of new policies (including reservations for the parks), and the dates we had planned were fully booked over a spring break week. In all honesty I would not been able to achieve what Chrissie was able to via her network of contacts at Disney. She really made what would have likely been a total bust of a trip, an incredible time.
