I am a travel professional, focusing on land and tour vacations throughout the world, specializing in European custom trips, tours, and river cruises. I grew up in Ireland so planning vacations to the Emerald Isle is a true passion of mine. Living in Ireland gave me the chance to travel extensively throughout Europe; Moving to the US gave me the opportunity to visit the Caribbean, The Americas and Canada.
I love planning vacations for my clients to locations I know they will love. France Trip-Cancelled due to Coranavirus

Maire helped us plan our trip to France. Starting in Paris, South of France and ending in Barcelona before coming home. She spent a lot of time with me and my sisters and bless her heart because we all wanted to do different things. She spent a lot of time looking for Castles, wineries, art and museums for us to visit. She also booked hotels in Paris and Barcelona. She found us this beautiful villa to stay at in the South of France. If you're looking for someone to plan a trip, Maire is the person you should contact. She is very professional and will do all the planning. All you have to do is tell where you want to go and what you want to see and she does the rest. Unfortunately, after all the planning, our trip was cancelled due to the Coranavirus. Maire called and cancelled and we received all our money back from our trip. She truly does what is best for her clients.

Our intro trip to Ireland exceeded expectations!

London and Paris Adventure of a Lifetime

Maire is supremely patient and knowledgable. There is never a question she cannot answer and there is no limit to the number of questions that can be asked. She gets to know who you are and then helps build an itinerary based on the amount of time for travel and what your interests are. She is a gem!

Amazing Trip to Europe

We took our first trip London & Paris in August. Since we had never been to Europe before and I'm not a great planner, we decided to have a professional help make this trip happen for us. Maire from Hidden Gems Vacations was recommended by a friend. Maire and I spoke on the phone and she listened to me share my thoughts and what I was looking for in this trip. Actually, I wasn't exactly sure what that was but I knew I wanted it to be perfect and perfect it was! She planned everything including our excursions and transfers from one place to the next. We met in person to review everything and Maire was as lovely then as she was over the phone and through text. We were celebrating our anniversary when we were in Paris and Maire made sure that night very special. Flawless Honeymoon

She has been extremely helpful during these stressful times of covid and ensured we had the best possible honeymoon regardless of flight delays and uncertainties. Unforgettable Honeymoon in Greece

Maire was so incredibly helpful as my fiance and I planned our honeymoon to Greece. As one could imagine, COVID complicated travel, but Maire helped us every step of the way and gave us a clear picture of what our options were.Our trip to Greece was nothing short of incredible, and Maire played a central role in helping us set up transit between islands (stops which included Mykonos, Paros, and Santorini, with flights out of Athens), amazing experiences, and all of the little details in between. We had to postpone our wedding and honeymoon for over a year due to COVID, and it was well worth the wait. I couldn't recommend working with Maire more!

Maire did an excellent job setting up our exciting trip to France and Spain. Maire helped us pick hotels in France and Spain along with a lovely chateau rental for the week in Southern France. Through Maire's expertise we were choosing wonderful side trips and experiences to see the sights of Paris and Barcelona and the french countryside. Unfortunately, the coronavirus had another idea and we had to cancel! When the opportunity arises for us to travel again, we will certainly be calling on Maire .

My family takes a vacation every summer and I've used many different travel agents. Maire DiDonato is head and shoulders above any other! Right from the start she worked to understand the kind of trip I was looking for, she gave me ideas, provided information and alternatives, and most of all, stayed proactive. She sent me all the travel documents well in advance, made sure I knew how to contact her while I was gone (not necessary because everything went perfectly), and then welcomed me home at the end of the trip. Her warm personality combined with top notch organizational skills make her a delight to work with. I will absolutely call her for my next vacation.

Great Family Trip to the GrandCanyon!!

6 nights of pure perfection!

Wonderful COVID honeymoon

Maire was an absolute pleasure to work with. She helped us with our honeymoon, which we booked back in February 2020 for the Bahamas in December 2020. Of course, none of us knew a worldwide pandemic was going to hit. Maire let us know a few months before our scheduled trip that the Bahamas still weren’t open to tourists, and she immediately sent a list of resorts that were open in the Caribbean. We chose Sandals Negril, and we had an amazing time. We felt safe and the weather was lovely. Maire also helped us research COVID testing information for when we got back, as I was worried we would need to get tested ASAP and what would happen with customs. Maire helped me to not worry and reassured me all would be well, and it was!

Amazing long weekend getaway!

Working with Maire was the best decision of my life. Prior to reaching out to Maire, I spent at least 2 weeks laying in bed until wee hours of the night trying to find the perfect long weekend escape for my wife and I. We have 3 young kids so we really wanted to have an adults only trip but I wasn't sure where to go. After looking at numerous cities and feeling like I was getting no where, I reached out to Maire. I told her what the budget was and the couple cities that were our favorite. Within about 48 hours Maire got back to me with several options, all in our budget! We wound up choosing the Secrets Riviera in Cancun, Mexico. Maire arranged the booking of the hotel, the flights, and even the transportation to and from. I literally just had to pay and show up. I can't thank Maire enough for all of her hard work and total transparency!

Working with Maire was a pleasure. She is so sweet and was truly interested in ensuring our trip was just right. She kept in regular touch, which was nice and confirmed our check-ins in advance for us. And, while on our trip to Ireland, we contacted Maire a couple of times just to be sure we understood a few instructions and to confirm some events. She was always available and responsive, which was amazing! Things went so well we have already recommend her to family and friends who have seen our pictures and want to visit Ireland as well.

Amazing Trip to Europe

We took our first trip London & Paris in August. Since we had never been to Europe before and I'm not a great planner, we decided to have a professional help make this trip happen for us. Maire from Hidden Gems Vacations was recommended by a friend. Maire and I spoke on the phone and she listened to me share my thoughts and what I was looking for in this trip. Actually, I wasn't exactly sure what that was but I knew I wanted it to be perfect and perfect it was! She planned everything including our excursions and transfers from one place to the next. We met in person to review everything and Maire was as lovely then as she was over the phone and through text. We were celebrating our anniversary when we were in Paris and Maire made sure that night very special. If you are looking for a great and knowledgeable person to help you plan your next trip or your first, I would highly recommend Maire and Hidden Gems.

We have worked with Maire on two trips over the last few years; first, a wonderful Viking cruise to France and, this year, a planned family trip to Italy. Sadly, we had to cancel this year’s trip due to COVID-19. Maire has been wonderful to work with; very responsive and accommodating. Our trip to France was fabulous and went so smoothly due to her efforts. She had put together a wonderful trip for us to three cities in Italy. When we had to cancel, she worked with us to cancel our reservations, stayed on top of it, and we’re expecting full refunds. We’re looking forward to working with her on future travel plans!

The Bucket List Trip I Owed My Wife

Maire is wonderful! She took care of EVERYTHING, was proactive in anticipating and avoiding possible issues, and resolved a problem with our airport transportation in Europe without us even knowing about it until after it was fixed. It made traveling painless and incredibly enjoyable! I spent over a year and a half trying to plan this trip myself (the trip was to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, be the honeymoon we never had, and to celebrate major milestone birthdays for both my wife and myself) and kept banging my head against the wall, giving up, and not making it happen. One meeting with Maire, she knocked it out of the park! All we had to do was show up... the hotel was perfect, the arrangements flawless, and she let us relax and enjoy without worry!

A trip to remember!

Maire was attentive, professional, and listen to all my wishes. She answer all my questions. When my hotel at the end of the trip said my reservation was ending a day before it was suppose to, I called Maire and she answer and took care of it and I did not have to stress or do anything. She is amazing!!!
