I fell in love with travel at an early age, and I've been trying to "see it all" ever since. A friend recently showed me a sign that said "I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list!" and that pretty much sums it up. I also enjoy researching new destinations and trying to find the perfect location for anyone looking to travel.
My love for the Caribbean began during spring break in college. While the accommodations in Nassau weren't great (or even good) I felt a connection with the region, and I have enjoyed exploring more destinations. My favorites so far? The Grenadines and Anguilla, with Grenada and Antigua as close seconds. I also share the love of with my husband and son!
A graduate of Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania, I have also worked in marketing and communications for corporations, nonprofits, and associations.

Working with Rachel was an absolutely wonderful experience. With this trip being our first vacation out of the country with our children we wanted to make sure it was something we would always remember - and thanks to Rachel it was amazing! She helped us to select the perfect resort and also a great amount of expertise in planning our excursion to the Mayan ruins. She was very responsive to questions (and we had a lot) and gave us honest answers. Finally, Rachel was also very helpful in helping us to navigate the COVID-19 requirements for international travel. Amazing family Trip

She was always available for any questions/thoughts we had. She made sure anything I asked was addressed quickly, and 1st attempt to travel we had to reschedule with less than 12 hours till we boarded the plane and she took care of everything during a very STRESSFULL time for us. Rachel was an absolute pleasure to work with! She made herself available and responded back to our questions very quickly. She was very knowledgeable about the options available and helped us narrow down the option that was right for us. It’s rare that you travel with little to no hiccups, however our experience was flawless. She set is up for success and we had an absolute 10/10 experience with both her and our honeymoon.

Relaxing Honeymoon

Rachel was pleasant to work with. She answered several of our questions thoroughly and planned our honeymoon efficiently. We only had two months to plan and she was able to schedule everything within the matter of days. Excellent Experience with a Destination Wedding

Everything was perfect! Rachel was extremely helpful, thorough, and responsive throughout the entire process of planning and traveling for our wedding. Her help was welcome and needed everywhere, but especially in a few areas that could have gone wrong without a professional:
Picking a resort - there are so many choices that it's hard to know where to start and overwhelming to sift through them all. She had great recommendations for our exact needs and wants (everyone's are different) and gave us plenty of options with intel on each.
Ground transportation - I can't imagine not having pre-arranged ground transportation in a busy airport where I don't fluently speak the language. The rides were a necessity and went pretty smoothly.
Booking everything for us - not having to worry about this ourselves was a huge relief and allowed us to be more relaxed!

Rachel made sure she meticulously listened to all the things I said I was looking for. She asked a ton of questions and ensured she had a full understanding of our desires. Up until this point before contacting her, I made myself sick over researching resorts. I thought I was an expert in the carribean hotels. I was looking for a boutique and unique place. She told me about Eden Roc which never came across my screen as a place to go.The website didn't do the best job of showing the resort and there wasn't a ton of Youtube videos out there. As always, people had negative reviews (like every place, and there's always people who love complaining no matter what). We decided to go based on her confidence and assurance.
Boy are we glad. It was the most amazing trip of our lives. She hit the mark on everything we were looking for. I can't thank her enough for allowing us the opportunity to experience a place we would have never known about if it weren't for her exp

My wife and I had a great experience working with Rachel for our recent celebration in Cancun for our turning 50 this year. Rachel did a great job of presenting us with a number of great options for our event, including pros/cons at the different resorts, and was very helpful when we pivoted to a similar brand hotel in a different location. She was careful to walk us though the process, and efficient in handling changes and payments along the way for the group. I would recommend Rachel and wouldn't hesitate to use her services again!

Rachel was phenomenal in organizing everything that we wanted for our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic. Wedding Anniversary Trip!!

We started off trying to plan our anniversary trip to the Caribbean by ourselves and were quickly overwhelmed. Engaging Caribbean Journey was one of the best decisions we ever made.
Rachel was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly helpful before, during and after the trip in ensuring we had everything we needed. With only two weeks to when we were planning to depart, she got right to work. She helped us narrow down our options of adult-only all-inclusive resorts given our desires and budget. Being an experienced traveler herself, we was able to share great tips and some of her personal favorite places in the Caribbean. Rachel was very detailed in her email responses and was willing to jump on a call when we needed clarification on anything. She provided us with options for the rooms at the resort clearly outlining the differences.
Everything was seamless. It was such a pleasure working with the entire Caribbean Journey team!

Great River Cruise

Rachel planned a Viking Rhine River Cruise for me. I gave her the dates I was interested in and she began the process of arranging the entire trip. Her communication was always prompt and concise. She arranged a two day extension pre and post Cruise, also.. I wasn’t immediately receiving communication from Viking, but Rachel forwarded all of the e-mails she received from Viking, to keep keep me informed. During the months leading to departure, there were many flight changes that occurred, but Rachel promptly notified me all the details.
Because there were additional forms and testing to be completed to travel internationally , due to Covid, having a professional guide us through that process was essential.
The Viking Cruise was a perfectly planned trip. From the day of departure to the day returning home, every detail of traveling was complete. There were no surprises, thanks to all of the meticulous planning by Rachel and Viking!
