Maybe it was the cramped car rides in the summer from Long Island to the Carolina shore without air conditioning. Perhaps it was getting lost on a dirt road in a small village in San Juan. It could have been the mosquito invasion of 1986. Whatever the reason, Julie Lanham learned early that she loved to travel and traveling is at its best when you have a plan and plan for luxury!

Having been in the travel industry for 25+ years, Julie has learned she can always find a new scenario to help a customer. Escaping a hurricane? Easy. Landed in Jamaica with no baggage or cash? We’ll figure it out. Having started working at a small travel agency when she was 16, Julie learned that anybody can sell a trip, but a successful travel professional plans for the experience and anticipates and eliminates any bump along the traveler’s road.

After majoring in Travel & Tourism in college, Julie worked in airline reservations then moved to handling corporate travel in New York but following her move to Augusta in 1991 she realized that creating an experience for the customer brought much more satisfaction than scheduling flights. After spending some time with local agencies, Lanham opened her own vacation boutique in 1996 and set her sights on warmer weather.

Specializing in the Caribbean and Mexico, Julie is a triple platinum preferred agent for both Sandals and Beaches resorts, the only such agent in the CSRA. She is also a certified Honeymoon Planner and Destination Wedding Specialist. At Vacations To Remember she designs vacations for people with their best interest in mind. Julie and her staff are available by appointment 7 days a week. While an excellent resource for girlfriend getaways, family vacations and honeymoon planning, Julie is often sought out for her ability to put together destination weddings. Having planned almost 500 tropical unions, she is also constantly growing her breadth of knowledge by attending various workshops to remain current on industry trends. However, she feels the best way to properly plan a dream vacation for her clients is by putting on the flip flops and heading to the beach! If there is a palm tree and a sea breeze, chances are Julie has spent some time in the area and have some great travel advice. Being the proud mother of three, Julie is also a pretty handy resource for all things Disney and the most kid friendly resorts in the Caribbean.
